AWS and NVIDIA expand partnership for next-gen AI infrastructure
AWS and NVIDIA announced a major expansion of their strategic collaboration, building on 16 years of joint innovation. The companies plan to deploy 2 million additional NVIDIA GPUs across AWS's global infrastructure in 2027–2028—capacity that will power customer workloads ranging from agentic AI and scientific discovery to enterprise automation and emerging use cases like physical AI.
Additionally, AWS and NVIDIA plan to bring Vera CPU-based infrastructure to AWS, work on NVIDIA’s new custom high-bandwidth memory (NVHBM) technology alongside support for NVLink Fusion in next-gen Trainium chips, and build AI factories for the U.S. Government on secure AWS infrastructure.
Amazon Prime Air drone delivery is expanding to nearly 500 cities and towns this year
Amazon Prime Air is bringing ultrafast drone delivery to communities with tens of millions of customers across the country. The service delivers millions of items—from groceries and medications to electronics and cosmetics—in as fast as 30 minutes, at Amazon's everyday low prices.
Prime Air currently serves customers across 10 metro areas in seven states, with new locations launching soon in Chicago, Atlanta, Cleveland, Syracuse, and Boise. By the end of 2026, Amazon plans to expand to nearly 500 cities and towns nationwide—a sixfold increase from today. Prime members get free drone delivery on orders of $50 or more.

That same standard carries through regional distribution centers and into Same-Day Delivery fulfillment centers, where every perishable gets a six-sided quality check before it's packed. The result: fresh groceries delivered to more than 2,300 cities, often in 30 minutes or less.
Prime Video to invest $2 billion in Latin America between 2027 and 2030
Prime Video is making its largest-ever investment in Latin America, committing more than $2 billion to the region between 2027 and 2030. The investment spans original programming, locally produced and acquired content, and live sports rights across Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, and Chile.
Prime Video plans to more than double the number of Local Originals produced across these five countries compared to 2026, with more than 25 new titles coming in 2027 alone. Live sports is growing fast too, with NBA coverage now expanded across the region and Prime Video becoming a new home for the Mexico National Team starting September 26.
