REQUIREMENTS (WARNING)
This extension requires the theme "Classic Compact" be installed, which can be downloaded at: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/classic-compact/
CLASSIC COMPACT OPTIONS NOW AUTOMATICALLY INSTALLED WHEN CLASSIC COMPACT IS INSTALLED
As of Classic Compact v4.0.10.1, Classic Compact Options is automatically installed when the theme Classic Compact is installed. As such you do not need to install this extension separately unless you have uninstalled it previously for some reason or prevented it from installing when you installed the latest version of Classic Compact.
CAN CLASSIC COMPACT OPTIONS WORK WITH OTHER THEMES?
No, Classic Compact Options only works with the theme Classic Compact and will do nothing if Classic Compact is not the loaded theme when Firefox starts.

- Dark/black backgrounds. This option is users of really dark operating system colors. It changes the critical black/dark glyphs to white and light hues. This option does not change background colors of theme.

This sets the maximum width tabs are allowed to be. - Tab minimum width: integer value
This sets the minimum width a tab is allowed to be. The smaller this number is, the more tabs that will be shown before Firefox starts scrolling tabs. - Tab Close Buttons:

USEFUL TIPS- As of Firefox 6.0 the domain name part of URLs in the location bar are highlighted by Firefox. This can be disabled by entering about:config in the address bar and then finding the key "browser.urlbar.formatting.enabled" and changing it to false.
- As of Firefox 7.0 "http://" will be stripped from URLs in the location bar. This behavior can be disabled in about:config by finding the key "browser.urlbar.trimURLs" to false.
Both of these behaviors are native to Firefox and are not caused by this extension nor its parent theme Classic Compact. I do plan to add options to change these settings to version 4.0.10 of Classic Compact Options when it is released.
REQUIREMENTSClassic Compact Options requires the theme
Classic Compact of the same version number or higher be installed. For instance Classic Compact Options 4.0.9 requires Classic Compact 4.0.9 or higher.
KNOWN AND/OR REPORTED ISSUES- In Win7 - Tabs don't always reach top of titlebar when window maximized. This is caused by using a non-default "border padding" in Windows. To fix this follow these steps:
- go into control panel and open "Appearance and Personalization",
- click on "Personalization" then "Window Color" and then "Advanced appearance settings",
- In the dialog box that appears set "border padding" to 4.
I am investigating if there is a way I can automatically compensate for changes to the border padding setting, but it could be difficult.
