
Japanese industrialist, Konosuke Matsushita, founded Matsushita Electric Industrial Corporation in 1918, in the city of Kadoma, in Osaka, Japan. He guided the company through years of tremendous growth and global reach until his death in 1989 at the age of 94, when he was still serving the company as Executive Advisor.
Matsushita Electric Industrial Corporation, best known for its Panasonic brand, changed its name to Panasonic Corporation on October 1, 2008.
