    As software engineers, we stare at our screens at least 9 hours a day. This can be really harmful for our eyes. Make sure you hydrate well and give your eyes the care they need! I am going screen-free for this long weekend.

    This happened. A PhD student took his own life because of alleged pressure to commit and perpetuate academic fraud. After reading this article and the notes/text messages in both languages, I am floored and incredibly sad. This is the worst of academia, and we cannot let it stand

    So has published documents describing the scientific fraud and abusive lab culture that allegedly lead Huixing Chen to take his own life. Trigger Warning: (1/n)
