Luna Bijl is a Dutch fashion model. She is known as one of late designer Karl Lagerfeld’s muses.[2]
Bijl's clients have included: Chanel, Dior, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Versace, and Louis Vuitton. She has also featured in multiple international versions of Vogue, the Spanish and UK of Harper's Bazaar, and the American and French of Elle.[3]
In December 2024, Models.com added Bijl to their 'Money List', saying that she had "attracted top-tier commercial clients and secured lucrative, long-term endorsement deals."[4]
As of November 2026, Bijl has walked 227 runways—opening 13 and closing 15, featured in 34 campaigns, 20 editorials, 6 lookbooks, and on 3 magazine covers.[5]
Career

In February 2012, Bijl made her runway show debut at Milan Fashion Week walking for Alberta Ferretti. Her first runway openings happened in September 2016, also at Milan Fashion Week, but for Blumarine and Philosophy. Her first show closure occurred in September 2017 at New York Fashion Week for Zadig&Voltaire in a show that she also opened.[5]
In 2016, Bijl twice featured on covers of the French version of Vogue.[7]
Bijl was nominated for models.com’s "Model of the Year" in 2017.[8]
As of November 2026, Bijl has walked 25 Chanel shows and 10 for Etro, but has also walked for Isabel Marant, Fendi, and Moschino. She has done 4 Michael Kors campaigns and 3 for Chanel. She has also done editorials for several international versions of Vogue.[5]
