LGBTQ RIGHTS/3,800 march in Taipei in support of transgender community

Typhoon Champi brought strong winds, heavy rain and massive waves to Taiwan on Friday, causing widespread damage across the country. In eastern Taitung County, powerful waves knocked a large crane into the sea at Fugang Fishing Harbor, while an uprooted tree struck a passing truck in the southern port city of Kaohsiung, injuring two people. Strong winds also caused damage in Taichung and the capital, Taipei, while coastal roads in outlying Orchid Island (Lanyu) were damaged by huge waves.
