thank you for your welcome post. I know there are so many people grieving over the loss of a loved one. I have lost my mom, and later my dad, which you expect will happen someday. In 2008 my oldest son Andrew died in a car accident. I am still griveing over that loss. Then in 2014 my son Daniel (a university graduate with a promising career) was killed when a big rig driver speeding down a hill lost his brakes ans slammed into 10 vehicles. Daniel was the only fatality. I heard about the accident that morming on the radio, and called Daniel several times that day, was nformed of his death at 5 p.m. by my daughter.

Elyse, it's Barbara again. My curiosity got the best of me and I typed the name Theresa Caputo in google search engine. A whole lot came up. You can read it and make your decision after reading the headings and then click on them. It's your choice and your decision as to what you will do after reading it all.

Hi Elyse, I saw Theresa Caputo on television channel 28. I live in New Jersey and Theresa Caputo lives in Long Island New York. I believe she is on that channel on Sunday at around 9pm. I'll look for it and then let you know if she comes on again. People talk about closure and I just don't believe there ever is because we will always feel the love and connection as different holidays and moments of days past come up in our minds and touch our hearts. If you feel that finding out exactly what happened to your brother I do not think that is what Theresa Caputo the medium does. In my opinion now is for real after seeing and listening to what she told the children and people this past Sunday. Be careful not to waste your money and time with some fakes. There are so many liars and frauds in the world that we all need to be aware of the scam artists that stalk us on the telephone, computers and in our face. I'm an advisor on a commission for Senior Citizens in my town and we have been discussing some of the incidents as they occur with the other members of our small group. I just realized you live in Teaneck, NJ that means you can probably get a reading with Theresa Caputo. I don't know how to get in touch with her but if you search you may be able to find out how to do that. Good Luck and God Bless You and Your Mother!

Hi Elyse, On Sunday I saw Theresa Caputo the Long Island Medium. I had watched her when she first came on and thought she was rather flighty. I wasn't convinced about her until I saw her entire show this time. She was so deeply touched by her readings and I can say this time that I do believe Ms Caputo does have a very special gift. She put young children at peace and said things that only that would know. To me it appeared that she wasn't probing as I've seen others do. She was spot on. And because of her sincerity and how people responded I can recommend her for someone who wants to connect with a loved one lost. I have connected with my son and when I've wanted to wasn't able to. He let me know he was alright just within the month of his leaving. I had lots of friends on "Loss of a Child" but one day re-registered and lost all the comments and friends. Most have been posting for a number of years now. If you are on lost of a sibling then those are probably where you are best posting to have friends. I noticed on the side you have friends and know how to connect. I am not sure what you're asking about having friends. You can connect with anyone just as you did with me. I've talked with people on members online at times by just clicking on their name and a box pops up. Sometimes it can be a nice interesting conversation just talking about where someone lives and what they do. It just came to me : Are you thinking of connecting to Theresa Caputo the Long Island Medium? I've seen her go to groups and in stores and give a reading. Sometimes she has gone to someone's home and some have gone to her home. She is very warm and friendly with a bubbly personality! I have no idea what she charges but I doubt it's for free. But who knows? Good Luck and God Bless You. Barbara

I posted a few things today. I hope today is a good day for you
It's really true that when one person is missing the whole world seems empty. I have felt that way when so many people in my life passed. The worst was when I couldn't eat then couldn't stop eating. Now I'm eating for the fun of the taste. Who can figure my issues. I'm not really fat but it's been a thorn in my side. We all have our own way of justifying things that we do that we know we shouldn't.
Elyse, you are being a good daughter going with your mom to the bereavement group. However, I would think it's rather difficult for you to truly express yourself and maybe you're unable to get out of the group what you really need. You are being considerate of your mom. When my brother passed and when my son passed I chose not to discuss either much with my mom. Both losses were tragic for both of us. A brother is a buffer we lived with our parents and no one really knew the family dynamics as we did. My son was my future. But I still feel the pain and hate that I lost either one of them. I hate that I lost both parents. And ya know what I can go on and on about my other relatives as I can about friends and acquaintances too. I once had a boss who called me Babs and it was a pet name that I was called during those years by co-workers. Angelo, my boss once told me that I get attached to people very easily. It's true I do. I normally like everyone I come in contact with. There are a couple here and there in my life that I didn't care for. I had good reason. Have you thought of going to a therapists on your own without your mother? I seriously doubt any of us could get what we need by going to a bereavement group with someone as close as a relative or even a friend. It's best on your own. But maybe if you have coverage you may want to consider going on your own for just a short time. Let me know if you can or even consider going . Then I'll give you some hints as how to get the most out of your time. I sincerely, hope I'm not over stepping but I am just telling you what my heart is telling me. I really do understand as it's 20- years and I so wish my brother were here. It's all difficult but I keep active and have continued doing what I did before all the unfortunate situations arose. Sincerely, Barbara
