I love the idea of rugs in a bathroom, but my concern would be the weekly cleaning of them given how high the foot traffic is.

All I can think is mould...you'd need to wash the rug regularly and air dry it properly every day. Which kind of defeats the purpose. Stick with a good old ordinary bath mat, I say!

I love my small undercover balcony, its an outdoor room, mini garden, and cosy reading nook all in one! I've slept out there in the height of summer and watched the sun come up, and had afternoon naps with the rain pelting down and a rug on my lap!

Just beautiful! I love when modern technique meets raw/recycled materials and results in a timeless home that exudes warmth and personality....hats off to the Gilbert brothers for this incredible achievement

I love this rustic look, was this home on grand designs or similar, the story looks familiar. Great house, where do the boys sleep?
Everybody needs a nook where they can sit back and relax at the end of the day. I am in the home improvement industry and I always find a way to create a personal space outside for my clients. As much as possible, it should close to nature. A pair of chairs on a patch of grass with potted flowers around would usually suffice. We just add some touches according to the homeowner's taste.
I love these little niche spaces!
