The Novelist :: Hazy Double IPA
ABV: 8.0% Hops: Simcoe, Amarillo
Sitting at the corner of the bar, she stares at the condensation sliding down the side of her first hazy double IPA of the day. The opaque liquid stands firm beside her laptop. There is an idea trapped somewhere inside her mind, but she can’t quite put it into words. She takes a sip: Grapefruit, Citrus, & Pine. That’s it! she realizes. Just like that, her fingers begin clambering on the keys.
Low Fidelity (E) :: Hazy IPA
ABV: 6.2% Hops: Hops: El Dorado, Eureka!, Ekuanot
In the age of one-off beers, Low Fidelity attempts to simplify the task of keeping track of all those gimmicky marketing names by naming each new release Low Fidelity A-Z. The water, malt, and yeast will remain the same, but the hops will change with each new lettered iteration. For Low Fidelity [E], we were striving for deep hop flavor and aroma complexity, and the result is a mix of papaya, mango, honeydew melon, resin, and pine.
Drunken Tree :: Sour IPA w/ Guava & Passionfruit
ABV: 6.5% Hops: SA Southern Passion, Mosaic, Amarillo
A child and her maid hide between a passionfruit and guava tree, and tremble with a sour grimace as they watch the streets below. Pablo Escobar’s men are terrorizing their neighborhood in search of the snitch. They dream of fleeing to Amarillo to work on their beautiful mosaics together. Contains: Milk Sugar.
Trumpet Solo :: Pilsner
ABV: 5.3% Hops: GR Merkur, GR Saphir
So What. Kind Of Blue. Miles Davis. Pitch black with a soft light shining on a glass of golden pilsner. Smoke swirls through the air. Horns and keys. Tap tap tap cymbals. In the presence of greatness. Time is still. She takes a sip while eyes and ears entranced. Crisp to the tongue. Distant notes of pineapple and tangerine.
Shelfrighteous :: IPA
ABV: 6.7% ABV Hops: Columbus, Amarillo, Idaho 7
That feeling of superiority about one’s bookshelf is the same feeling we get about this juicy tropical stone fruit and sticky pine IPA. Place a pint between two gilded bookends and inhale that bursting aroma. Step back and admire its...actually, scratch that. Just drink the damn beer. Cheers!
Literary Nonsense :: Golden Sour w/ Blueberry & Raspberry
ABV: 7.0% Hops: CZ Saaz, UK East Kent Golding
This fruited golden sour ale consists of a blend of two golden sours, each ale aged in oak barrels. The first for sixteen months and the other for six months. This blend yielded a balance between the complex funk of the elder, and a vibrant acidity of the younger. Like an unabashed writer without an editor, we decided to pile on a heavy blueberry and raspberry load of nonsense, making this one unedited beautiful piece of work!
Pilcrow :: Blonde Ale w/ Lime & Chamomile
ABV 5.9% Hops: SI Styrian Celeia
Originally brewed in collaboration with Triple Rock, and it was so good we had to do it again! At first glance, you see a blonde ale in front of you, but the pilcrow will tell you this is no ordinary blonde. Fresh lime zest & chamomile flowers add an unsuspecting pizazz that will pontificate on your taste buds, leaving your mind exhilarated yet surrounded by a sense of calm.
Fuggle Rock :: English-style Pale Ale
ABV: 5.5% Hops: UK Fuggle
You know what time it is? Time to drink--I mean dance your cares away! Put off those chores for another day, and let the music play! This Fraggle colored Pale Ale has got all the moves, and you just can’t lose with it’s lemon/herbal tea hop flavor and aroma, and gallant yet easy drinking malt body.
Word Play :: Hazy IPA
ABV: 6.3% Hops: Mosaic, El Dorado
Imagine the feeling of placing tiles that add up to 392 points, and when read in conjunction with the adjacent word makes the perfect pun to razz your opponent, and then you realize that the anagram of the word is a spoonerism for the band playing your favorite song, which just so happens to be playing over the bar speakers. Now take that feeling and pour yourself a glass of it and you get this Hazy IPA hopped up for notes of pineapple, mango, and grapefruit.
Offset :: Double IPA
ABV: 8.3% Hops: Citra, Centennial
A big melon, grapefruit, and fruit loops roller of an IPA with low bitterness and a soft body. A west coast 2.0 double IPA.
Words Of Encouragement :: Saison
ABV: 6.4% Hops: Vic Secret
Every once in a while we all need a few words of encouragement. A little “you got this!” or “break a leg!” will do the trick. This dry-hopped saison is just that sip of encouragement to get you on your way. One thirst quenching glass of this fruity and floral ale with a hint of passionfruit will put the zazz back in your pizazz.
Tuff-cate :: Mexican-style Lager
ABV: 5.3% Hops: GR Hallertauer Mittelfrueh
This beer pays homage to friendship and good times at backyard BBQ's, softball games, camping, and outdoor festivals. Tuff-caté is a well balanced bright golden lager with a crisp flavor, and low to medium bitterness that finishes clean.
Curmudgeon Zone :: Rye Porter
ABV: 5.0% Hops: NZ Dr. Rudi, UK Fuggle, UK East Kent Golding
There is a dimension beyond that which is known. It is a dimension as vast as a 20 oz beer and as timeless as last call. It is the middle ground between porters and stouts, between science and creativity, and it lies between the crease in a man’s scowl and the distant glare of his wry eyes. This is the dimension of solitude amongst a crowd. It is an area which we call the Curmudgeon Zone.
