Shelter and Sound – “To The Middle” (Song Premiere)

Shelter and Sound

Today is a great day to share the newest single from Dayton, Ohio’s post-hardcore duo, Shelter & Sound, called “To The Middle.” The band is composed of songwriters Michael Coates and Shawn Bell, and this new track highlights the unique bond the two musicians have with each other. Coates shared:

This wasn’t meant to be somethin’ more” is exactly what I was trying to do with the lyrics and feel of To the Middle. It’s not anthemic, it’s not a single, it’s warm, it’s familiar and it’s a vibe. When we were creating the instrumental it reminded me of a time, before digital connections, socials and phones tied us together at every waking hour. When there was a thrill of driving around a night, with your people or person. No money for gas, no idea where the next turn would take you, and that deep seeded feeling of content when you were sitting across from someone where just sharing the same air to breathe was an exchange worth more than any words. In truthfulness this song romanticizes connection and friendship over anything else. It’s a reflection to the friends I love dearly, and the composition is intentionally. This is a song to be shared sitting next to your greatest loves, your ride or die, going to some destination together specific or trying to escape any place altogether.

If you’re enjoying the single, please consider streaming the band’s music here.

Ryan Cabrera and Lexi Cabrera ft. Jaret Reddick – “I’m Just Drunk (Lexi’s Texts)” (Video Premiere)

Cabrera

Today I’m thrilled to share with everyone the new music video from Ryan Cabrera and his wife Lexi Cabrera (aka Alexa Bliss), that also features Bowling For Soup’s Jaret Reddick, called “I’m Just Drunk (Lexi’s Texts).” On this fun, pop-punk oriented song Ryan and Lexi dive into the concept of sharing fun times while being married, plus the gentle nuances of growing older together. If you’re enjoying the new video, please consider supporting Ryan and Lexi here.

UPDATE • Oct 28, 2026 @ 7:29 PM

Editor’s Note: After publishing this premiere, we learned that an early version of the song was created using AI. According to Jaret Reddick, Ryan Cabrera subsequently recorded the song with real instruments and had Alexa Bliss sing on it. It’s unclear how much, if any, of the AI-generated composition was retained in the final version. We’re adding this disclosure in accordance with our AI Use Policy. My apologies for not catching this beforehand.

Meg Gehman – “The Dawn” (Song Premiere)

Meg Gehman

Today is a great day to share the personal new single from singer-songwriter Meg Gehman called “The Dawn.” The song deals with the concept of times being “darkest just before the dawn”, and Gehman pulls out several vibrant tricks in her songwriting arsenal for a deeply moving track. Meg Gehman shared, “One of the things I love the most about this track is the journey it’s been on, starting all the way back to the evening an ol’ cowboy asked me if I wanted to write a song with him. I’d only been in Nashville a few months when I met co-writer, and now treasured friend, LH Halliburton. We met on my first night at an open mic in town, and I was nervous as hell. This older gentleman in a white Stetson got up on that stage and did two songs that just blew me (and the rest of the room) away. A little bit later, after my two-song turn, he sauntered over, shook my hand, and said, “I’m LH. I liked your songs. You should keep comin’ back.” And he went back to his barstool. LH is a man of few words.

My Chemical Romance Drop Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader Costumes

My Chemical Romance

My Chemical Romance have agreed to drop the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader-inspired costumes:

TMZ has learned DCC and MCR reached an agreement … and it’s a clear win for the famous cheer squad … because the emo band agreed not to dress their cheerleaders up like the DCC for their upcoming concerts.

MCR can still do their act with cheerleaders dancing on stage … they just can’t make them look like DCC hotties, which they’d been doing before the company that owns the DCC brand — Pro Silver Star — had their legal team file for an injunction against MCR.
