Alex P @RT33409715 Oct 3, 2026 Really good feel throughout the whole film, these being the constant darkness and claustrophobia, constant fear of the amazingly designed aliens (one negative is actually the fact we don’t actually find out the final story of the aliens or evolved humans). It also has pretty good lineage and the visuals during the action scenes are well done along with the good sets which are impressive for a lower budget sci-fi. But did lack bits of low quality scenes (story wise) for example how the 2 people he meets whilst searching for the reactor and they just happen to get along even though they have been shown to willing to kill each other. But all round a good watch See more Luke T @LightSyson Sep 15, 2026 Im baffled by the crazy low rating this gets. It must have been off trend in 2009 maybe. I just watched for the first time in 2026. It was very good. All practical effects. It hints at a twist throughout which keeps you intrigued . Then you get 3 twists and a very cool end scene. Never listen to intellectual critics. Film making is more than what critics want. See more Scott M @mcglsr2 Jul 31, 2026 I'm not sure I get some of the contempt that this film seems to garner. Any seasoned watcher of the genre certainly won't discover anything new in this plot, but that doesn't automatically mean it's bad. The performances are good, the setting is pretty amazing--though the creatures are a little disappointing, and the whole mystery of "what happened here" is decent enough to make you want to see how it ends. It does the twists and reveals well enough. It may not be the best example of the genre, but it's certainly good enough for a watch (and possibly a second watch if you find that you don't quite understand what happened). Will this movie change your life? No. Did it deserve to flop and have such a terrible Critic score? Also no. I enjoyed it for what it was, I think you might as well. See more Jesse J @RT33080243 Jul 24, 2026 You have to watch it a few times, it grows on you, it has this real Sci Fi vibe, reminiscent of great old sf books. A shame they never did a part 2 that it really deserves. See more Briana I @Anaire Jul 22, 2026 Very stupid, horrible acting and visual effects. Just not a good watch. I tried to get into it but was way too distracted by all the discrepancies. I don't recommend and I agree with the low ratings this time from RT. See more Will B @writeboywrite Jul 12, 2026 This film had a lot of unrealized potential. The performances were solid, the central concept was genuinely creative, and the two plot twists at the end were especially well executed. While I wasn't a fan of the "fast alien zombies in space" direction, the movie clearly aimed to be more than just another sci-fi horror film, making it a stronger effort than many similar releases over the past two decades. The ending, in particular, opened the door to several intriguing possibilities. Did the survivors truly get their happy ending? Were the zombies really what they appeared to be, or were they actually native inhabitants of the new planet? And, based on the film's own explanation for the "Zombie-ification," could the survivors' descendants eventually become zombies themselves? Overall, it's a good film with interesting ideas, even if it ultimately falls short of being a great one. See more Read all reviews
