A few years back, I played Beyond a Steel Sky in Apple Arcade out of curiosity, without knowing there was a predecessor. I enjoyed the world it built so much that I have been chasing that high ever since, to no real avail. Then I started venturing into vintage games and figured it was time to play this one. It left me with so many questions. The world was both fantastic and tragic. Dystopian in its truest form. Robert is also such a likable protag, and a great contrast to all the peculiar and not-quite-right-in-the-head citizens of Union City. So happy this studio decided to make the game accessible to modern players, AND expand on the lore in Beyond. Would love to see its legacy continue.
Good PnC for iPhone

I’ve played many a point and click throughout my time and this one was pretty good. I was going to play it on PC but why not play it on sleepless nights in bed. Good story, good humor, creative world, and a hint system for the not so obvious steps thankfully bc the maps can be on the larger side sometimes. Id say it’s worth the price if you like games like Whispers of a Machine or Unavowed, this seems like a solid predecessor. Gonna try out the Apple Arcade version of this series next.
One of my all time favorite games!

Beneath the Steel Sky is genuinely one of my favorite games. if you like point and click adventure games this is a must have! I’ve originally played this on PC and loved it, when I realized it was on iOS, I had to buy it just to support revolution software. This game, and it’s sequel Beyond a Steel Sky are truly masterpieces. Great story, and great gameplay.
Nostalgic!
