From bangs and bobs to layers and lighter shades, HairTry is a hairstyle simulator that lets you check how a look suits you first. Here’s to feeling more excited than nervous the next time you try something new.

How it works
1. Pick a photo where your face is clearly visible.
2. Choose the hairstyle or hair color you want to try.
3. Compare it with your original, then save or share it.
What you can do
Hairstyle try-on
“Would a bob make me look childish?” Check it on your own face. Switch between 300+ styles, from short cuts and bobs to mid-length, long, perms, and with or without bangs, and compare them side by side. Using every style requires HairTry Pro.
Hair color simulation
“I want to go lighter, but will it look off on me?” See it on your own photo before you dye, right up to bleached brightness. Multi Paint lets you color just part of your hair, and Custom Color lets you create your own shade.
AI stylist Lumina
“I have no idea what suits me.” Then ask Lumina in the chat. It analyzes your facial features, suggests styles that may suit you, and lets you try them on right away.
Choose by face shape
Round, oval, square, heart, oblong, diamond: compare styles by face shape.
Import a hairstyle
Found a look you love on social media or in a photo? Import it and try it on your own face.
Trends for your country
Start with the styles popular in your country. Look for curtain bangs, a shag bob, face-framing layers, a mixie cut, and honey blonde curls.
Save and share
Save the looks you like to compare later, or show them to friends and your stylist.
Men’s hairstyles and bald filter
A men’s section with styles like a wolf cut, a textured quiff with a fade, and an afro taper, plus a filter that shows how you would look with a shaved head. Fun to try with a partner or friends.

HairTry is free to download, but the free version limits how many AI images you can create. HairTry Pro is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks every hairstyle, more colors and editing tools, and unlimited creations, and hides ads and watermarks. The price and whether a free trial is offered are shown in the app before you subscribe.
Payment will be charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store account settings.

The way this app blends my face with the hairstyle is much more smooth than other “hair try-on” apps I’ve tried. I like to try new styles every year after having really boring hair (due to work restrictions) for a long time. The blending isn’t perfect but still way better than most. With future upgrades, the ai could get better at blending out the features of the person in the stock photo.If you’re a hairstylist that wants to show clients how they might look in a style/color that you specialize in, this could be super useful. The “hairstylist import” function is awesome because most people are curious about hairstyles that they’ve seen on someone else (celebrities,friends etc) so being able to insert a photo of a specific look you want to try is great,The hair color options could be better, there aren’t just straight blonde, brown and black hair colors. Please have both cool and warm toned for all the natural shades. Also, why aren’t the natural redheads not represented in the free version?I’m aware that the premium version might have better options but most of the ppl trying the app probably won’t want to subscribe to just find their own hair color.

Honestly yes it’s bad but please keep this app up because I kinda like it ? Like One of the hairstyle looks good on me I just edit it up a bit because it messs up like Half of my neck of side face and the app takes out your background I don’t rlly mind but ya it’s bad but I NEED IT bc one looks good on me

Thank you thank you THANK YOU for making this app. This is so accurate and any hair I choose blends in so well. I always thought I wasn’t attractive until I chose a different hairstyle!! I put in my own picture of someone’s hair and it worked so well. This app is completely free, though you need to watch ads in between, which is TOTALLY FINE BECAUSE ITS FREE AND WORKS!!! You don’t know how long I’ve searched for an app that lets you see yourself with different hairstyles that’s completely free. God bless bc this app literally saved my life 💗💗 GETTING MY HAIRCUT TMR

good app but the hair sits way too high on a big face with a short forehead making you look alien

it would be great if the app didn’t change my ears and they brought back the option to use imported hair styles. Previously the app didn’t touch my eyebrows but now it is changing them. Was a 3 star app but the options taken away and deterioration of the app has made it only deserve two stars. Would be better to roll back the back to what it was six months ago. Edit: a zero response from the developer in months means they don’t read their reviews
