Compass Chat Tell Hapiton the kind of person you'd like to talk to, and it goes looking for them. When it finds someone, it opens the conversation in your messages and tells you a little about who they are. No swiping, no profiles to scroll, no waiting for someone to notice you. You can start two searches a day. If a conversation isn't right, unmatch and tell Hapiton why — it does better next time. Compass Passport Collect a stamp for each of our meeting zones at Georgia Tech: the John Lewis Student Center, Clough Commons, and North Avenue Dining Hall. A new way in Hapiton now introduces itself and gets you set up in a short conversation, so you're ready in a couple of minutes. This update makes matching and messaging clearer and smoother: • Meeting spots that make sense — when you match, we guide both of you to a set meeting place, so you always know exactly where to connect. • See who you're meeting — matches now show the other person's name and photo, so you know who's on the way. • Smoother messaging — the keyboard and input bar glide as you type, and your conversation stays in view instead of hiding behind the keyboard. We smoothed out the details that matter most: • Messaging feels right — your messages stay on your side, names show correctly, and the keyboard's ready the moment you open a chat. • A quicker, calmer intro the first time you open Hapiton. • More reliable matching with people nearby, and a heads-up when someone wants to meet you.

When you match with someone, both of you now see the same full introduction — their photo, a note on why you two might connect, and a compatibility estimate. Before, the person on the receiving end sometimes saw a shorter version; now everyone gets the complete picture. If you want to play it safe, drop that bullet or soften it to "clearer match notifications" until you've confirmed a real push shows the photo. The meeting-spot and keyboard bullets are both fully verified.

What's new in 1.0.5: • Cleaner location permission — no more confusing extra prompts • Background match notifications now deliver reliably, even when the app is closed or your phone is locked • Smoother onboarding and an updated bottom navigation Please test: 1. Onboarding — chat with Hapiton, add a photo, finish your profile. Note anything confusing or slow. 2. Permissions — allow Location when asked (choose "Always" to enable background matching) and allow Notifications. 3. Background match alert — leave the app and lock your phone. When a match is found you should get a "I found someone for you :)" notification on your lock screen. Tap it. 4. The meet flow — open a match and follow the compass toward the meeting point. 5. Get around — tap through the tabs (Hapiton · Messages · Info · Settings) and Settings; flag anything broken or off.

Hapiton now works even when it's tucked in your pocket. No need to keep the app open. Leave Hapiton on and go live your day — it quietly watches for the right person nearby and taps you on the shoulder the moment someone you'd genuinely click with is close. When you're both open to it, we guide you to each other in real life, in seconds. Zero effort.
