NEW: TRICK OR STRIKE Choco Jack has taken over Boo Bay and drained it gray. Join Toofs and the Sweet Tooth strike, follow the plan around town, and light THE JACK to bring the color back. Rewards: the Corn Crew look, Choco Jack or Sweet Tooth (your pick), Lil Tooth the pet, 20,000 Candy Corn and an hour of 5X Candy Corn. RECAST UPGRADES Recasting now keeps your Hauling floors, and the Arc Rod is yours for good. The Ruby Shop's new Keep All Relics (1 Ruby) carries every relic through. Each Recast doubles your Tinkering XP (up to 10x) and adds a Tech Point. Already recast? Your floors, blueprints and Arc Rod are waiting as gifts. HAULING A revive ad now restores all 3 hulls and forgives every hit. Kraken tentacles and the whale give fair warning at any speed, and the sea looks the same on every iPhone. Plus a Reduce Motion switch, a pause that really pauses, calmer and shorter floors, and Ice Breaker and Turbo smash everything. ALSO NEW A clock at the dock, right where your phone shows the time. Triple Rewards now pays +3 bonus rolls (Hauling, Treasure Hunt caskets, the Boss Bash chest) and a second boss retry. Gem bottles can bring a Master's hunt again after a Recast. No daily limit on reward videos. Sonar Buoy bites wait for a countdown, and the bobber flashes gold on a hot spot. The Conga Line glides smoothly, and LaBoo Ness, Lagoo Ness and Sir Inkwell surface at the same moment for everyone. Plus lots of fixes.

NEW: SPOOKY FISH PETS Any fish you land, on any water, has a 1 in 3,500 chance to bring home a Spooky Fish - one of the Boo Bayou fish you've discovered, of the same rarity or below (at Boo Bayou, the very fish you caught). The longer you go without one, the better the odds. One per angler, and it keeps following you long after Halloween. NEW: LEGENDARY COVES One cast in 1,000, you'll tumble off the dock into a Legendary Cove - a secret grotto hidden at every one of the 32 waters. Tap FISH when you're ready; you have 10 minutes before the water fills it. Fish blind: hold and slide, and stay still where the line pulls hardest. Every catch is an epic or a legendary at a flat 10X XP, and 1 cove catch in 1,000 is a COD-FATHER. THE COD-NOSTRA 96 Cod-Fathers - a family of three mob-boss fish at every water. Catch a water's whole family: the first three anglers to do it get a statue in that cove forever, with their name on the plaque. Track every family in the Cod-Nostra book: Settings > Account. ANIMATIONS A new box in Settings. The first, the BUFF FISH, turns up at any water (1 in 2,000 catches): hooked fish grow huge muscle arms and pull back. Win and they leap out flexing! CANDY CORN FROM ALL FISHING (UNTIL NOV 2) Every catch on every water pays Candy Corn - Megalodons, Alphas and frenzy shadows too. Watch one ad in Boo Bay for 2X Candy Corn for an hour (3X with Triple Rewards). Short on Candy Corn? A sack of 10,000 sits at the top of the Boo Bay shop until Oct 31, and everything in that shop is 20% off. THE BOO BAY CONGA LINE Three skeletons conga round the cauldron, winding a new loop every lap. Grab on to join in: wear the next costume in the line and earn as you dance, like the Candy Works with no smoke to chase. Dance long enough and Cap'n Rattlebones' pirate look could be yours, and a rare little friend follows the line too. HISCORES - New COMPLETION board, in the Tinkering board's spot: how much of Pixel Reel you've finished, with your breakdown in Settings > Account. Overall XP is now called CAREER - Halloween Hiscores: the CANDY SHOP board now ranks the Candy Corn you make at the Candy Works and the Conga Line - Two new badges: STARRY KOI (the Starry of every fish on every water) and GILDED GHOST (the Starry of every Boo Bayou fish) EVERY WATER PAYS LIKE YOUR FURTHEST Fish wherever you like: every water pays coins and XP like the furthest water you've reached. TIDE LEAGUE PALS FOR PET POINTS Missed a league pet? Find rare Pet Points on Treasure Hunts and trade them for past Tide League pals in Settings > Pet. New players now queue up and race in a league of their own. ACCESSIBILITY A new switch in Settings adds sound and haptic cues for blind players: line-tension tones, a reel click that rises as your catch gets close, a beep before the line breaks, Cursed Tide and Megalodon guidance, and VoiceOver tells you when someone in chat says your name. FRENZIES PAY 40% MORE XP Plus a new END FRENZY button. Updates to Tinkering timers and limits. Your phone stays cooler while you hang out in Boo Bay, Saltwick and the Lagoon. Plus pets that turn to follow you, Boo Bayou tuning and fixes. Boo Bay is open until Nov 2!

TIDE LEAGUE PALS Two new prizes to win: the Candy Narwhal for first place and the Taffy Axolotl for second. And some weeks, the league counts Candy Corn instead of fish! PLUS: a Halloween app icon for October. NEW: MURK, THE TRAVELLING SALESMAN A shady figure in a long coat now slips into Saltwick twice a day for just 10 minutes. Find him, tap him, and he'll open his coat: two piles of Tinkering materials for gems - Legend Cores, Arc Filament, Boss Cogs and more. Each pile sells once per visit. You'll get a notification when he turns up. Blink and he's gone. VOICEOVER SUPPORT Every screen, sheet and button in Pixel Reel can now be read with VoiceOver, grouped the way it looks on screen. Nothing changes for players without VoiceOver. TINKERING - A NEW SKILL: Something is frozen in the ice at Glacier Bay. Break Tinker out and learn to build: gadgets that boost your catches, a tech tree, a refinery, discoveries, and the Boss Line, which hooks a Megalodon or an alpha while you fish. Keep tinkering and you might meet Viv, a tiny robot pet. HAULING: Brandy's boat is moored where the glacier used to be. Steer through 300 floors of rock and ice, scoop fish with your net, and roll the prize pool for two new pets (a harp seal pup and an aurora fox), 15 new looks and Rare Look Tokens. Meet Brandy at floor 25 for the Brandy Bobber, and open chapter chests for the Tow Line and more. Every new floor pays 100 Angler Pass XP, and from floor 50 you can reset the ladder for a big chunk of Tinkering XP. THE FRIENDSHIP LINE: A pink line that sheds hearts and rose petals, with +25% luck on pets, relics and blueprints. 1,500 gems in the shop. RARE LOOKS, ROUND TWO: Twenty brand-new rare looks rotate into the Rare Looks shop - superheroes, monsters, a werewolf, a head chef, a DJ and more. YOUR POND, YOUR WAY: Dye your water in ten colours (25K a coat, right beside the grass paint), pick a shape - round, heart, bean, diamond or crescent - for 100K each, and build a pet house where your pals roam. ALPHA-O-MEGA: A different alpha every day, one whose pet you're still missing first. Its XP now pays like your furthest water, and its hot waters stay where it was spotted. ALSO: Your rod lives in Gear - Tackle - Rod now, with three saved setups. Every rewarded double pays XP too. New Tinkering, Hauling and Sorting leaderboards. FRENZY, BIGGER: Frenzy fish pay a fifth more coins and XP, and every frenzy now pays up to 50 gems - all 50 for a perfect one. Keep your eyes open: a Megalodon or your water's alpha can break the surface mid-frenzy. Tap it for a share of its purse on the spot. YOUR OWN DAILIES: Every angler gets their own daily board. Gem quests pay 90-130 gems, triple them with EXTEND, and reroll as many times as your gems allow. HUNTER'S CONTRACTS PAY: While you hunt a contract, its water pays like your best water - fish, frenzies, Megalodons and alphas - and a frenzy there can send the alpha up at one in ten, once per contract. BLIND ICE PERFECTS: Land a fish through the ice within 4.5 seconds of touching the line and it counts as a PERFECT REEL. THE CURSED TIDE, CLEARER: The Multiplayer card shows how to start the quest, Hunter and Tam can send you straight back to the water, and the Pet Shop explains its pools. ALSO: The lagoon list reads LAST NESS 0M the moment someone lands the 40th tap. The boat trip's Megalodon card shows what the boat really paid. Changing water mid-cast no longer brings the last water's fish with you. Tight lines, angler.

OUR FIRST QUEST - THE CURSED TIDE: It starts with a fish on the grass and ends in Saltwick, a harbour town of shops, tide pools and hoarders. See it through and the town is yours for good. NEW WATERS: Eight waters past the Uncharted - Blood Cathedral, Stormcrown, Frostveil Shelf, The Long Drift, Glimmerdark, and now Ashfall Reach, The Gilt Deep and The Hush. 800 species in all. Out there the coins run red: unlock Uncharted Waters and the game turns over to Blood Money. BLIND ICE FISHING: From Blood Cathedral on, the water freezes over. Tap the hole, hold, and feel for a fish you cannot see. PIP AND THE SORT: A magpie sorting master lives in Wick's hoard. Clear his shelves against the clock, chain them for combos, and spend Shinies on five looks, two pals, a charm and a doubler. THE DREDGE: Three hauls a day off Wick's dredge line. SIR INKWELL: Four hats surface off the Saltwick dock. Forty taps a head, gems every tenth tap, and a pal for whoever lands the last one. ALPHA-O-MEGA: One alpha a day, announced. Beat it and the waters stay hot for ten minutes - and they now pay like your furthest water. TWO NEW RANKS: Deathless and Worldsend. ANGLER PASS: The ladder no longer ends. Every prestige tier pays a free gift of coins and 200 gems. ALSO: Tackle loadouts, reworked achievements, a settings wheel on the Saltwick dock, and boat trips, mob fishing and the Auto-Net now pay your best water wherever you fish them. BOSS BASH — OLD SALT'S LADDER Fourteen beasts, back to back, each one fought at its own water. The Megalodon off Willow Pond's dock, every alpha at home. Clear a rung and bank the coins, or leave them on the table and climb. Lose a fight and Old Salt will let you gamble the haul: double or nothing. BOSS BASH LOOT Clear all fourteen in a single run and the chest opens. Ten new outfits to win — several with a walk trail of their own, like the Rungmaster's brass rings, Toothbreaker's shed teeth and the Chum Herald's slick — plus a new pet: Salty. A NEW BOARD Boss Bash rungs now has its own hiscore table. THE FEEDBACK BOOTH There's a booth in every lagoon. Say your piece — it comes straight to me. More updates fresh off our largest update ever with SEASON 0: DEEP CURRENT & the Angler Pass!: • Frenzies: tap with both thumbs, every finger counts. A missed tap ripples so you know it landed. • Fish shadows now stand out on every water, day or night. • Angler Pass Tier 23 is the TOAST PACK: the Toast look, Bun the bread bunny, a Toaster for your pond's flower spot, and 100 gems. • The Toast look leaves a trail of grape jam and has six idle tricks. Mind the toaster. • The Sunken King brings the sea with him: a wake of bubbles and brine, and eleven tricks, from a storm over his crown to a dolphin over his head. • The Lighthouse Keeper gets twelve tricks and a trail of light. • Every look with tricks has an on/off switch in the wardrobe. • Frenzy fish now earn the treasure hunt bonus at the hunt's water. • Buying a treasure bottle asks you to confirm first. • Remove Ads now says exactly what it removes. Owners can also hide reward videos in Settings. • Daily chest and streak protection improvements. • Fixed skinned lines leaving copies on screen. The electric line is clean again.

Fresh off our largest update, we are shipping a few bug fixes. Fixed: Purchasing tiers in the Angler Pass, animation issues on the Lighthouse look, and something fish related.

HOT FIXES TO THIS MORNINGS UPDATE (and a bit more!!) THE YETI A new premium look at Angler Pass tier 13. He walks with a trail of fire, and every couple of minutes snow rolls in and freezes him blue for three minutes. Catch him doing pushups, juggling snowballs, or playing with a bone. ANGLER PASS - Pass XP now updates as you fish. If your bar looked stuck, this was it. - Time at the lagoon earns pass XP. - One button at the top and bottom of the pass so you always know what's on offer. OLD SALT'S FISH DELIVERY - Mob Mayhem now pays like a daily should: up to four Megalodon payouts from your deepest water. - A Megalodon on the line never loses to the clock. LAGOON AND PONDS - Pond chat matches the lagoon: your name in gold, friends in green, badges inline. - Everyone who taps Lagoo Ness has a shot at Lil Goo, not just the winner. FIXES - Unlock costs and your coin total now show exactly what they are. No more "11M" that was 10.6M. - A locked water now tells you what you're missing.

THE DEEP CURRENT UPDATE ANGLER PASS Season 0 begins. Thirty tiers, one a day, with a free track for everyone and a premium track of 8 full costumes, 4 rods, 5 bobbers, 3 line skins and 9 pond pieces. Season 0 buyers wear the Founder gem in chat forever. TREASURE TRAILS Message bottles now surface while you fish. Each one starts a trail of clues across your waters and ends in a casket that rolls for coins, gems, lures, relics and rare finds: 15 costumes, 6 bobbers, 5 lines, and Chester the chest pup. Old Salt explains it when you find your first. THE ALPHAS Every water hides a boss with its own fight. Beat one and its pet follows you home. OLD SALT'S FISH DELIVERY Crew the boat once a day: cast the net, run the Megalodon Highway, or take on Mob Mayhem. Sundays run two trips. LAGOO NESS Something old surfaces at the lagoon. Tap her forty times and you may take home her hatchling, Lil Goo. ALSO - Friends: add anglers, see them in green, visit their ponds. - Build your own pond and stock the aquarium (Daily Reward!). - Name cards with rank pennants at the lagoon. - The Fishdex counts your catches and alpha wins per water. - Forge the Arc Rod from Bits of the Arc. - Rewarded ads now 40 a day. - Many fixes and balance passes.

Thanks for a huge first couple weks, anglers. This update gives you your own corner of the map. THE POND - Every angler now has a Pond. Walk around it, cast from the dock or the shore, and earn the same rewards as the Lagoon. - Blueprints drop while you fish anywhere. Build them in Build Mode: decks, lanterns, benches, trees, flowers, fences, paths and a trophy room. Higher tiers get more extravagant. - Paint the grass, choose which career stats your trophy room shows off, and take a seat on the bench. - A music box with eight original tracks. - Visit a friend's Pond by name and chat while you fish together. TACKLE BOX - A new tackle box with Relics that surface on the line during regular fishing, and at the Lagoon. - Each Relic has a powerup. The more rare the relic, the better the powerup!! ALPHA BOSSES - The ten Alphas of the deepest waters have arrived, and each one asks something different of you. - Be ready for them. They can take the bait at any moment! MUSIC - Every location has a new theme, with a different take in each of its three areas. FIXES AND POLISH - Cleaner top bar on smaller screens. - Away rewards now pay out once, correctly. - Reward videos recover from bad connections instead of stalling.
