Some of you have been with us for more than a decade, and as your needs have evolved, so have we. Today, the majority of you are already benefitting from the advantages of cloud, like streamlined administration, instant scalability, and quicker time to value. In fact, more than 90 percent of you start with Atlassian cloud products, with more server customers making the switch every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From staying ahead of the latest regulatory and security requirements to expanding our ecosystem with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlassian.com\/blog\/announcements\/introducing-forge\">a new development platform<\/a> and introducing flexible plans, we\u2019ve continuously invested in our cloud tools so that your teams can work flexibly and innovate quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019ve also taken our cloud offerings to the next level by building a modern, intuitive, and unified experience across all our products to transform how your teams collaborate. We\u2019re leveraging automation and machine learning to reduce the time spent on repetitive tasks and enhancing our integrations to power seamless workflows across your teams.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But, when it comes to our mission of unleashing the potential of every team \u2013 including yours \u2013 you need us to move faster and go even further. In response, we are announcing changes to our server and Data Center offerings in order to sharpen our focus as a cloud-first company. While these changes are in service of your organization\u2019s long-term success, we know the transition will be hard for some of you. So in the spirit of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlassian.com\/company\/values\">\u201copen company, no B.S.\u201d<\/a>, I am sharing everything you need to know about these changes and the support we will offer you along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"499\" height=\"327\" src=\"https:\/\/atlassianblog.wpengine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/upcoming-changes-to-server-products@2x.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-47307\" style=\"width:250px;height:164px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/atlassianblog.wpengine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/upcoming-changes-to-server-products@2x.png 499w, https:\/\/atlassianblog.wpengine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/upcoming-changes-to-server-products@2x-300x197.png 300w, https:\/\/atlassianblog.wpengine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/upcoming-changes-to-server-products@2x-409x268.png 409w, https:\/\/atlassianblog.wpengine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/upcoming-changes-to-server-products@2x-421x276.png 421w, https:\/\/atlassianblog.wpengine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/upcoming-changes-to-server-products@2x-211x138.png 211w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 499px) 100vw, 499px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Upcoming-changes-to-our-server-products\">Upcoming changes to our server products<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On February 2, 2021 Pacific Time (PT), the following changes will go into effect:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>End of new server license sales: <\/strong>You can no longer purchase or request a quote for a new server product.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Updates to server prices:<\/strong> We will implement <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlassian.com\/licensing\/future-pricing\/server-pricing\/faqs\">new prices for server renewals and upgrades<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On February 15, 2024 PT, the following change will go into effect:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>End support for all server products:<\/strong> This means that support and bug fixes will no longer be available for your server products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To facilitate a smooth transition, we will offer three years of support and maintenance for your server products and provide loyalty discounts for eligible customers to upgrade to our cloud or Data Center products at a lower price. For those ready to explore cloud, we\u2019ve built the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.atlassian.com\/migration\/cloud\">Atlassian Migration Program (AMP<\/a>) which provides you with step-by-step guides, free migration tools, a dedicated migration support team, and a free cloud migration trial for the length of your remaining server maintenance up to 12 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can read more about these changes, review a detailed timeline, explore options for upgrading existing server licenses, learn about implications for your server apps, and much more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlassian.com\/migration\/journey-to-cloud\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Augmenting-our-Data-Center-products\">Augmenting our Data Center products<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even with three years to prepare for these changes, we understand that not every customer will be ready to make the switch from our server products to our cloud products. And, some of you have business requirements that might prevent you from ever operating in the cloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For these customers, we&#8217;ll continue to offer our robust self-managed enterprise edition, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlassian.com\/enterprise\/data-center\">Atlassian Data Center<\/a>. This will include new capabilities and integrations that make it easier to use our cloud and Data Center products together, like unifying the admin experience for areas such as user management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are also strengthening Atlassian Data Center by making some of our most powerful apps available natively and offering Priority Support with Data Center subscriptions for most user tiers.
