Dr. & Prof. Haowen Liang is taking charge of the task of National Key R&D plan, National Science Foundation of China, the task of Guangdong Key R&D plan, and Guangdong Basic and Applied Basic Re-search Foundation. He is also the committee member of Three-Dimensional Imaging and Display committee of China Society of Image and Graphics, member of the Chinese Society for Optical Engineering.
The main areas of research include emerging three-dimensional imaging and displays, optics in virtual reality and augmented reality and their applications, meta-optics for imaging, and nano-scaled optical imaging. He has published more than 30 articles in high impact peer-reviewed journals.
