With everything a school day holds, those small moments between lessons, over a cuppa or on your way home can offer opportunities to give your own mind a little attention, too. ☕ You might pause to notice how your body feels, listen to a colleague without planning what to say next, or take a closer look at something you usually walk straight past. When your attention wanders to the next thing on your list, practise gently bringing it back to what you’re doing. 🌿 Simple practices can help strengthen your awareness and focus, building skills you can draw on in the classroom and beyond the bell. 🧠 Our Mental Fitness Practices for Educator Wellbeing guide is full of practical ways to build on the skills you already use and try something new in the moments your day allows. Consider it a little support for you, while you’re doing so much supporting. 💛 This Mental Health Month, download the guide for free. 📥 https://hubs.la/Q04BmgCv0

💛 Some of the loveliest opportunities to build mental fitness happen in the everyday moments we share with our kids. 💬 It might be a chat on the way home from school about what made them laugh that day, noticing how kind they were to a friend, or taking a little extra time to listen to what's on their mind before bed. 🌱 These small moments help children feel seen and connected, recognise their strengths and build an understanding of themselves that grows with practice. 🧠 And just like physical fitness, the more we practise our mental fitness, the stronger it can become. 🤝 This Mental Health Month, we've partnered with Medibank to share five simple ways to build mental fitness practice into the moments your family already shares. 🔗 Read the blog: https://lnkd.in/eqZBXJJR

We stretch our legs, strengthen our muscles and get our steps in. Our minds like a workout too. 🧠 Mental fitness is something we can practise - building everyday skills that help us notice what’s happening, work with our thoughts and feelings, stay connected, and meet life's ups and downs with confidence. 🌱 It’s an idea we share with Medibank, and one we’re excited to put into practice together. 🤝 Through our partnership, Smiling Mind is bringing evidence-based mental fitness practices to the Live Better Rewards section of the My Medibank app - helping more Australians turn “I should probably look after my mind!” into small, practical things they can actually do. 🔎 Explore Medibank x Smiling Mind resources: https://lnkd.in/eQXftqi4

This Mental Health Month, the theme Together We Thrive is a reminder that connection can play a powerful role in how we feel. And connection often looks pretty ordinary. The quick check-in. The shared laugh. The “thought of you” message. The little something dropped into your DMs because it reminded someone of you. Simple ways to strengthen connection: 💌 Send the “this made me think of you” message. Pebbling encouraged. 💛 Tell someone what you appreciate about them. Remember to be specific! 📅 Turn “we should catch up” into a calendar invite before another term ends. 📞 Call for no particular reason. Remember that? Small actions like these give relationships somewhere to grow. And with practise, they can strengthen our sense of connection and belonging. This Mental Health Month, find more ways to practise connection in the Smiling Mind app. 📱 https://lnkd.in/dzrmcwy #MentalHealthMonth #TogetherWeThrive #MentalFitness #SmilingMind

Some moments stay with us long after the last song. 🎶 Over the past week, Smiling Mind attended Noah Kahan’s sold-out Melbourne shows, joining forces with The Busyhead Project to put mental fitness into practice. Noah has built a remarkable connection with his fans through music that makes space for vulnerability, belonging and honest conversations about mental health. Our role was a complementary one: helping turn that awareness into small, practical actions people can take into everyday life. Across the Melbourne shows, fans found Smiling Mind at Rod Laver Arena and chose a mental fitness practice to take with them: ✨ Be here now — practise being present 💛 Better together — strengthen connection 🌱 Stay open — embrace change with curiosity and confidence Everyday moments can be opportunities to build mental fitness, too. When you tune into a song you love, connect with the person beside you, or stay open to change with curiosity, you’re practising skills that support your mental fitness. And the more we practise these skills in everyday life, the more they become habits we can draw on when we need them. And a big thank you to DECJUBA FOUNDATION for the bracelets that fans could take home as a reminder to keep practising their mental fitness.

👤 Who’s someone you’re grateful for - and when did you last tell them why? 🌏 This World Gratitude Day, try turning gratitude into a moment of connection. 🤔 Think of someone who has helped you, made you laugh, listened to you, or simply made your day a little brighter. Then get specific about what you appreciate and share it with them. 💬 It doesn’t need to be a grand gesture. A conversation, note or message can be enough. 💜 Keep practising gratitude together with more activities for you and your family in the Smiling Mind app. #WorldGratitudeDay

For children aged 5–12, opening up doesn’t always happen through a big question. Sometimes, they’re more comfortable talking when the conversation feels playful, specific and part of everyday family life. So while you’re sharing a meal, try asking: 💛 What went well today? 🌧️ Did you have any tricky moments today? 💪 What strength did you use today? 🤝 Who did you connect with today? Tonight, make a little space around the table for the big and little things on their minds. 💛 And if you’re looking for more ways to build connection and emotional skills together, explore free activities in the Smiling Mind app 'Family' section. #RUOK #RUOKDay
