  • On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, KPMG came together to listen, learn and reflect. We took time to deepen our understanding of the history and ongoing impacts of colonialism and residential schools, and to consider how we can collectively advance reconciliation through meaningful action. Across the firm, our people collectively participated in a meaningful live Métis Beading Mosaic activity, coming together to construct a collaborative art piece where each person created one piece of a larger whole. The mosaic reminds us of the responsibility we share, the choices we make, the relationships we build and the steps each of us can take in our continued commitment to reconciliation.

  • Big opportunities are not always waiting to be found – sometimes, they need to be created. Anthony von Mandl built the Mark Anthony Group by challenging conventions and trends across the wine and ready-to-drink beverage industries, creating products and categories that changed how consumers drink. Should the AI used by Canadian governments be Canadian? As governments accelerate their adoption of AI, that question is taking on new importance. We surveyed more than 500 public servants across Canada about the opportunities, and challenges, they see as AI moves from experimentation toward broader adoption. The results point to a distinctly Canadian priority: 76% say their organization’s procurement policy stipulates acquiring AI products from Canadian firms whenever possible. But buying Canadian is only part of the story. Public servants are also thinking about where Canadian data is stored, how intellectual property is protected, whether the workforce has the skills to keep pace, and how governments can embrace AI without compromising public trust. So, is Canada’s public sector ready to scale AI responsibly? 📰 Read the full findings in our latest news release: https://lnkd.in/e3kEiWgS #KPMGInsights #AI #PublicSector #GovTech #ResponsibleAI #DigitalGovernment #AIForAll

  • Child and family services organizations rarely make decisions in isolation. Each choice can affect programs, resources, service delivery and, ultimately, the children, youth and families being supported. Our latest video with Kalie Van Ree, a senior manager at KPMG Canada, explains how our teams help organizations make complex challenges more manageable. By providing clarity on the implications of all potential solutions, leaders are empowered to make informed decisions, strengthen programs and deliver more effective, human-centred care.
