Report launch: Navigating the squeeze on the automotive frontline We were excited to launch our new Nordic Dealer Executive Outlook 2030 at Dagens Industri's Stora Mobilitetsdagen last week. The core message: the dealer remains essential, but the economics that supported the traditional model are being dismantled. As electrification advances, challenger brands arrive, and customers change how they buy. New-car margins and workshop income are being squeezed at the same time – and no new profit pool has yet replaced the old one. The report reflects executives’ 2030 view on the relationship between dealers and OEMs, BEV penetration, customer buying habits, dealer consolidation, new revenue streams, and the role of both established and challenger brands. It builds on in-depth interviews, conducted during 2026, with senior executives from dealer and importer groups in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. HR’s seat at the AI table AI agents are already sorting cases, answering policy questions, and screening candidates. The questions of who steers them and how the nature of (human) work is changing are often answered ad hoc, without clear ownership or coherence in the organisation. In this article, Trine Bø-Pedersen and Alexandra Fürst explore how HR can claim its seat: by shaping the change as well as managing its consequences. That means making its own work smarter and, more importantly, helping the business define how roles are changing, which tasks will disappear, which skills will matter, and where human skills remain non-negotiable. Safe to share What happens when practitioners from across life sciences put their Veeva experiences on the table? You go away with honest answers and ideas you can use the following Monday. On 26 November, Implement’s Veeva Collaborative Consortium returns to Copenhagen for a full-day forum aimed at life science professionals who have implemented, or are planning to implement, Veeva. The day brings early insights from our Veeva Benchmark, a guide to bringing a running Vault back to best practice configuration, an AI deep dive, and customer cases from life science peers on what worked and what they would do differently. Whether you work in IT, regulatory, clinical, safety, or quality, this is your chance to exchange experiences, co-create best practices, and grow your network. Seats are limited, so sign up before 1 November: https://lnkd.in/ePMDg9FP #managementconsulting #implementconsultinggroup

Strategy meets the shop floor This autumn, we’ve welcomed Robin Schmok as a new partner in our Zurich office. A trained industrial engineer with an MBA from IMD Business School, Robin brings nearly two decades of experience from Dürr Group, mainly at Schenck RoTec in Germany and China, and from Oliver Wyman and Strategy& right here in Zurich. Throughout his career, Robin’s work has sat at the intersection of strategy and operations – spanning industrial strategy, manufacturing footprint design, operating models, and large transformation and performance improvement programmes. Ask Robin why he chose Implement, and he points to the collaborative approach of co-creating solutions that suit each client’s needs, along with the freedom and flexibility he sensed as early as the interviews. Just before joining Implement, Robin, an avid traveller who has visited more than 60 countries, spent a couple of months backpacking through Central America. Outside of work, he shares the Swiss love for the mountains, where he goes snowboarding in the winter and hiking in the summer. Welcome to the team, Robin.

Stark choices and sharp minds On 1 October, we hosted a full day with Aarhus BSS International Case Teams (ICT) at our Aarhus office. ICT is a student-run organisation that represents Aarhus BSS at national and international case competitions, and builds a bridge between theory and practice by letting students put their textbooks to the test on real cases. This time, STARK Group was our case partner. 25 students worked in groups on a STARK challenge, from first brief to final solution. Thank you to ICT for the invitation, to STARK Danmark for a great case, and to all 25 students for giving it their all. #managementconsulting #implementconsultinggroup

The CFO as decision architect Last week, more than 40 CFOs from across Europe gathered at our Hellerup office for an evening on the future of the finance function, hosted by Victoria Quaglia, Anders Liu-Lindberg, and Nicolai Worziger. The conversation covered how to prepare for several possible futures, which foundations AI needs to scale, and how to redesign the flow from data to insight to decision, freeing up capacity for judgement and value creation. Perspectives from Christoffer Møllenbach (CFO, Danica), Markus Kede (SVP and Chief AI Officer, Lundbeck), Henrik Bender (CFO, Ambu), Martin Smith (former VP Finance, AstraZeneca and A.P. Moller - Maersk), and Lasse Jonasson (Chief Foresight Officer, Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies) brought it all to life. One theme kept returning: AI adoption is well under way in finance, but AI transformation is still to come, and closing that gap is a job for the CFO. After all, faster analysis only matters when decision-making authority and approvals keep pace. Thank you to our speakers and to everyone who joined. #implementconsultinggroup

The coworkers we never hired AI agents have no employee number, no onboarding plan, and no salary review. Yet they already perform tasks that, only a few years ago, defined what it meant to be an employee. So the question now is who is steering this change. This autumn, together with HRsvepet, we gathered more than 100 HR professionals at network lunches in Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö to discuss what the rise of agents means for HR. One idea ran through the discussions: break jobs down into individual tasks and ask what can be automated, what improves with humans and AI together, what must stay human, and what is entirely new. Thank you to everyone who joined the conversation and shared their insights.

Nordic roads, different speeds Norway is already operating in an almost fully electric new-car market. Denmark is moving rapidly in the same direction. In Finland, BEVs account for around half of new registrations, while Sweden is gaining ground but remains below 50%. Yet across the region, the underlying questions look remarkably similar: where will dealers make money as aftersales changes, how should the customer relationship evolve as buying moves online, and how do OEMs and dealers build a model where economics, data, and risk work for both sides? These are the questions behind our new Nordic Dealer Executive Outlook 2030, based on conversations with senior executives from dealer groups, importers, and distributors across the region. Join Henning Verner and Fraser Hall at Dagens Industri's Stora Mobilitetsdagen in Stockholm on 13 October, where they will present the findings – and launch the report. Come by the Implement stand to grab your copy and continue the conversation.

Strategy's hidden assumptions Last week, we hosted more than 40 senior leaders at our wind industry breakfast during WindEurope in Hamburg, asking them what they wish they could say about their strategy and almost every answer came back to flexibility. Our analysis, compiled before the event, points to why. Daily power price swings across the EU remain several times wider than before the 2022 energy crisis, and negative price hours have become routine – together suggesting that value is shifting from generation to flexibility. In many of Europe's largest markets, planned renewable additions already exceed available grid capacity, meaning grid access is now deciding which projects get built. And while electricity demand has been flat for a decade in the markets we looked at, every official forecast still assumes strong growth to 2030 – a gap worth examining. The common thread: strategy can no longer be set once a year and defended until the next cycle. The assumptions it rests on need to be made explicit, owned, and monitored.
