European Cybersecurity Month is the European Union’s annual campaign dedicated to promoting cybersecurity among EU citizens and organisations. It raises awareness of cybersecurity challenges and provides hands-on information and good practices for strengthening digital security.

On 30 June 2026, the EDPS delivered “ARETE”, a half-day workshop on assessing risks to individuals from personal data breaches.
The EDPS has been named the recipient of the 2026 EU Regulator Award by the Future of Privacy Forum (FPF).
The award is part of the FPF’s 2026 Awards, which honour outstanding contributions to data protection and privacy in Europe.
