History

[edit]

Keto Software Oy was founded in 2003 in Hyvinkää, Finland. The company initially operated under the name Improlity Oy until 2015, when current chief executive officer Veijo Hytti joined the company as a shareholder. The same year, the company adopted its current name, Keto Software Oy.[4][5] According to the company, the name "Keto" is derived from the Finnish word for "meadow".[1]

During the 2020s, the company expanded its activities beyond Finland and established a presence in additional European markets, including the United Kingdom and Switzerland.[6]

In November 2024, Keto Software announced an €8.4 million funding round consisting of €6.4 million in equity financing and €2 million in loans.[7][8] The funding round was led by Emerald Technology Ventures and included participation from Greencode Ventures, Ilkka Brotherus, and Trauma Holding.[9][7] According to the company and investors involved in the financing, the funding was intended to support international expansion and continued development of its software platform.[9]
