The FocusPhone is compatible with the vast majority of common apps.
You can use apps such as messaging, banking, transport, music or work tools, provided they are available for Android. This includes, for example: Banking apps; Navigation and maps; Transport and mobility (including for specific cities); Professional or corporate tools; Music or essential services.
If an app exists and works on Android, it can usually be installed on the device. In principle, we do not allow social media apps or video games, but you can contact us to discuss your case and request an exception.
Sure. The FocusPhone includes a customisation service even after purchase. If you need to add or change apps, simply email us at info@focuswave.org with your order number and a list of apps.
We’ll send you simple instructions along with an updated file to install on the device.
We do this because we have no control over the mobile once it leaves our offices. And this way, the user can’t make changes on a whim. They write to us, and we change it shortly afterwards.
The FocusPhone is designed to give parents clear and straightforward control right from the start. It includes:
PIN protection, which prevents unauthorised access to settings or sensitive functions; pre-selected apps, so that the device only includes those you consider appropriate
Internet content filtering, though a DNS system that automatically blocks inappropriate websites;
Geolocation, using Google tools, so you can check the device’s location at any time. Overall, the phone limits usage to the essentials and eliminates many of the distractions and risks typically associated with a conventional smartphone.
