Just two days before Apple's "Welcome home" experience in New York, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has leaked several details about the new products set to be unveiled, including an all-new smart home hub, a HomePod mini 2, and a new Apple TV 4K.

It's odd that HomeView won't allow for 3rd party apps. I assume that's for security reasons, but it might make the device less versatile than it could otherwise be. If people are going to spend a lot of money on several of these for their home, they're probably going to want to customize it in ways Apple hasn't foreseen.

I’m going to make the assumption (for my sins) that you’ll be able to Airplay third party content to this new device.

If it doesn’t, then that could be a deal breaker as I like to cast YouTube to the nest hub we currently have in our kitchen.

Waiting to see Home hub/HomeView. Everything else seems like a small update. Don't know how useful HomeView will be and waiting to see the wall mounted version. Will be interesting to see the price of all the new devices.

You want that built into the remote. How are you going to attach an AirTag to the remote anyway? How clumsy would that be, even if someone invented some kind of absurd case to hold both the remote and an AirTag.
Yeah, attach an AirTag on the outside as it's designed just now? Brilliant thinking - clue; not all find my devices are circular nor external!😉🤣

I forget, is 8GB too little or just enough for Siri AI? Because if they don't come with the new version, and a good responsive version of it at that, I don't see the point.
8GB is enough; there’s no way they’d make such a big deal about Siri AI being a consistent experience across devices and then put out a bunch of new devices that can’t use it.

Yeah, no kidding, that's why I said, you want the FindMy capability built in, but you said, just "chuck in an AirTag. Job done."

FindMy Capability and an AirTag are two separate things. If you meant "FindMy Capability", saying "AirTag" is going to make people think of a actual AirTag.
