Today, it would take billions of years to crack the cryptography inside a payment card. With quantum computers, it could take just a few hours. That is what Q-Day means for payments, and it's why Elyette Roux, EVP Payment Services at IDEMIA Secure Transactions, joined Gilane Barret, host of BFM Business Vision d'Entreprises, to explain what quantum computing will change for every chip and digital transaction we rely on. At IST, we're already preparing for that day. We're urging banks, issuers and the wider payments industry to do the same, because the time to prepare is now, not when Q-Day arrives. OpenMedias

Think your job is hard to explain? Michał is a Standardization Manager. In the simplest terms, he reads very long documents so other people don't have to. The longer version is that Michał represents IST at the GSMA forum, the international organization where technical standards for connectivity are written and discussed line by line.   He translates what's agreed into something our developers can actually build from, turning global standards into innovative solutions people rely on every day.   Nobody notices standards until they don't work—Michał's job is to make sure that doesn't happen.

What happens when the very model that made private label programs successful starts holding them back? 🧐 There's an assumption that if a card only works at a single merchant or in a controlled ecosystem, it's easier to manage, secure and digitize. That assumption shaped many private label card programs. But today's challenges go beyond traditional card acceptance, from security and fraud prevention to digital wallets, tokenization and evolving consumer expectations. For issuers, the question is no longer whether to modernize, but where to start and how to choose the right technology partner. Our new position paper explores the priorities for building the next generation of private label payment programs. Download your copy ➡️ https://lnkd.in/ec9djKQC

If a futurist's job isn't to predict the future, then what is it? Our CTO Marc Bertin makes the case that it's to navigate uncertainty and make intentional choices, especially at a time where AI, quantum and sovereignty are starting to converge. A futurist's job is to have the confidence to move forward responsibly, one iteration at a time. Read the full article here ➡️ https://lnkd.in/e-BkYUge

96% of people use digital services on a daily basis. Yet 53% are more concerned about digital risks than five years ago. Something isn't adding up. That's the "Digital Confidence Paradox" at the heart of our new study, conducted across 11 countries with more than 3,300 respondents. The study shows there is a big gap between how much we rely on digital services, like payment and connectivity, and how well we understand the risks. So where does the trust come from? The study found that consumers expect service providers and regulations to safeguard their digital lives. Read the full report here ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eS8S4Eif
