Previously in public preview, this GitHub-hosted image runs on macOS 27 and includes the Xcode 27 toolchain and Apple SDKs.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"xcode-based-images\" id=\"xcode-based-images\" ><a class=\"heading-link\" href=\"#xcode-based-images\">Xcode-based images<span class=\"heading-hash pl-2 text-italic text-bold\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/span><\/a><\/h2>\n<p>Each image supports one major Xcode version rather than targeting a specific operating system version. This makes it easier to select the toolchain your project needs and know what each runner provides.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"get-started\" id=\"get-started\" ><a class=\"heading-link\" href=\"#get-started\">Get started<span class=\"heading-hash pl-2 text-italic text-bold\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/span><\/a><\/h2>\n<p>To use the image, set your workflow&rsquo;s <code>runs-on:<\/code> value to one of these labels:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><code>xcode-27<\/code><\/li>\n<li><code>xcode-27-xlarge<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you already use these labels, you don&rsquo;t need to change your workflows.
