  • What comes after the degree? Today at Maynooth University, we heard that question in many forms. Nora Grendon, Harish Sreeram, Conor Ogedegbe and Daniel Bunici represented AQMetrics at the School of Business Maynooth University Careers Fair, talking with students about first jobs, career paths and how to choose where to start. Days like this matter to our sector. Regulation keeps changing, and the work behind it depends on people who understand both the data and the rules. That expertise is built over time: through study, curiosity and the chance to learn from people already doing the job. Supporting the next generation of finance, technology and compliance professionals is part of how we invest in that future. Our Graduate 2027 roles are open: https://lnkd.in/edsm6-UJ For the people behind regulatory reporting. #MaynoothUniversity #CareersFair #GraduateJobs #RegTech #RegulatoryReporting

AQMetrics will be at the Maynooth University Careers Fair tomorrow!   Our own Conor Ogedegbe and Daniel Bunici, themselves 2 former Maynooth students, will be back to campus to answer the questions you may be asking yourself now: what comes after the degree, what a first job is really like, and how to choose where to start. Our Finance Analyst, Harish Sreeram, will be there too. He works across finance and revenue operations every day, so bring him your questions about what a finance role in a tech company really involves. Come and meet us at the School of Business Maynooth University Careers Fair on Thursday 15 October, 10:00–14:00, in the TSI Building on North Campus.    Nora Grendon, Director of People & Culture, will also be there to talk about the Graduate 2027 roles.   If interested, you can already apply here: https://lnkd.in/edsm6-UJ For the people behind regulatory reporting. #MaynoothUniversity #CareersFair #GraduateJobs #RegTech

  • A redemption gate is no longer just a line in a prospectus. Under UCITS VI, it has an activation threshold, a calibration and a record of every time it is used. From April 2027, firms will need to evidence all three, alongside new supervisory reporting on liquidity, risk profile and stress tests. Add ESMA's proposals on look-through and the liquidity of listed instruments, and investment compliance is moving from periodic checks to continuous control. We've outlined five practical steps compliance teams can take now, whichever way the eligible assets review lands. • "Capital goes where the opportunity is, and it stays where it is trusted." (Gabriel Makhlouf, Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland, at last week's Irish Funds Annual Global Funds Conference) That line captured the day. Europe wants deeper capital markets and more private investment. Supervisors want the liquidity, valuation and governance behind them to be beyond question. The AQMetrics team was in Dublin for the conference. Here are a few highlights 🎥 In our latest blog, we look at what the regulatory discussion signals for 2027, from valuation reviews to EU-wide supervisory convergence. This Thursday, the AQMetrics team will be at the Irish Funds Annual Global Funds Conference at The Convention Centre Dublin. With AIFMD II implementation under way and Ireland holding the EU Council Presidency, the discussions on regulatory simplification, private assets and cross-border distribution will have direct operational consequences for Irish ManCos and the managers they serve. We are particularly looking forward to the Regulatory Update 2026 panel, which brings together ESMA, the Central Bank of Ireland and the European Commission, and to the afternoon session on private asset structures under AIFMD II. Lorraine Lyons and Ben Clay will be there throughout the day. If you would like to discuss Annex IV reporting changes, divergence in national transposition, or how an FCA- and ESMA-authorised ARM approaches regulatory reporting, message Lorraine or Ben directly to arrange a time. See you at Spencer Dock. @Irish Funds #IrishFunds #AIFMDII #RegTech #AssetManagement

  • "We're in an age of deregulation." Are we? It's one of the assumptions we hear most from compliance teams right now. The reality is more nuanced. 13D compliance remains on the SEC's enforcement agenda. This year alone, the current Commission has settled 13D cases over late filings linked to potential changes of control. The broad sweeps may have paused. The scrutiny hasn't. That was one of the key themes in our latest webinar on beneficial ownership and position reporting. Paul Chung, who leads AQMetrics' North America business, was joined by Kathleen (Katie) Klaben, Partner at Sidley Austin LLP, and Ivaylo Miladinov (Regulatory Expert, AQMetrics) to discuss the grey areas across 13D, 13G, 13F, Form N-PX and Section 16, and what compliance teams should prioritise over the next 12 months. Full recording in the first comment. #Compliance #RegTech #BeneficialOwnership #SEC #AssetManagement

The regulatory environment is no longer letting investment managers operate on autopilot. In a recent session, our own Paul Chung sat down with Kathleen (Katie) Klaben Klaben (Partner, Sidley Austin LLP) and Ivaylo Miladinov (Regulatory Expert, AQMetrics) to unpack why US beneficial ownership and position reporting (13D, 13G, 13F, and Section 16) have moved from routine administrative filings to top-tier operational risk. • AIFMD II readiness for 2027: from regulation to operational reality We recently sat down with Terrie Hughes, Risk Director at Bain Capital and Elizabeth Daniel, Director of Compliance at Aspect Capital, to explore how firms are interpreting AIFMD II in practice, where the operational pressure points may emerge, and what readiness could look like as implementation timelines evolve. Watch the full conversation here: https://bit.ly/4iZrR2p

  • Only 48 hours left to register! 🚨 The US beneficial ownership and position reporting landscape is shifting fast. If your firm is still relying on manual spot-checking or legacy spreadsheets to track your 13F, 13D/G, and Section 16 thresholds, you are exposed to operational risk. Join AQMetrics and Sidley Austin this Thursday to learn how to operationalize automated position controls and build a bulletproof compliance framework. 👉 Save your seat (recording sent to all registrants): https://bit.ly/4zYxeF4
