The real winners on Friday weren't in the room. They're the young people impacted by our work every day. 🏆 Last Friday at the National Social Enterprise Awards 2026 in Limerick, Kinia won the Education, Training & Work Integration Award, and we were also named runner-up in the Buy Social category. We're still letting it sink in. At Kinia, we bring tech to life for Ireland's next generation. We exist to make sure young people don't just keep up with change, they lead it. This award belongs to everyone who has been part of that journey: educators, youth workers and young people, whose courage and hard work inspire us every day; our team, board members and volunteers, who show up with heart; and the partners, funders, supporters and customers who believed in us, often before anyone else did. A heartfelt thank you to Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht , Local Development Companies Network , Irish Social Enterprise Network , Social Enterprise Republic of Ireland and The Wheel for organising such a special evening, and to Community Finance Ireland for sponsoring it. This International Literacy Day, meet the students of Francis Street School, Dublin 8. Over eight weeks, thirteen students were paired with reading buddies from Elgin - reading aloud, tackling tricky words, and building something bigger than fluency: confidence, friendship, and a real love of books. By the end of the Reading Buddy programme, boys who once reached for colouring sheets were reaching for books instead. "It has been so refreshing and rewarding for our team, and we have all thoroughly enjoyed it.
