We're delighted to announce that after the success of Waypoint Dublin in September, Waypoint is coming to Cork. Wednesday 4 November at Republic of Work on South Mall, 9 to 12:30. Same format as Dublin: owners and directors from local businesses sharing how they're using AI in their own companies, where it's proving most useful, and what they've learned. Cork will be a more focused session, with places limited to 40. Please register your interest using the link in the comments. #Cork #AI #IrishBusiness
Nomad
Software Development
We turn enterprises AI native. Operational audits, training, forward deployed engineering and custom software.
About us
Nomad turns enterprises AI native. We map how a business actually runs, build the workflows worth running, and give it one live model of the whole thing to run them on. Most work starts with an operational audit. Two weeks, department by department, sitting with the people doing the job rather than reading the process document. It produces a written map of every handoff between a person and a system, and a roadmap of what to automate in the order worth doing it. You keep the readout whether or not you carry on. From there we train teams on their own work, priced per room rather than per head, and do the change management that keeps it in use: the AI use policy, the risk register, a champion in each team and a director on hand while the habits form. Twelve Skillnet networks, more than 1,000 people trained across 60+ organisations. Then we put forward deployed engineers in the building, automating and rebuilding the operation on the tools a business already owns. We take the baseline before and again after, and show both. Underneath that we build Orchid, the digital twin of a business. One live, permission aware model of its people, systems, processes and costs, and the automation that runs on it. Fixed prices, agreed before anyone commits. Model agnostic across Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini, and we do not resell AI seats. Anthropic Claude Builder Ambassador and Cursor SMB Ambassador. Dublin based, working with clients across Ireland, the UK and the EU. nomad.sc

Waypoint completed, and what a success. Thank you to everyone who came along to think properly about making their business AI native. It was great to see so many people genuinely interested and engaged in AI, and the room made the event. Thank you to our speakers and panellists for their insights and for their candour. Stephen Denver, OpenAI Kevin Collins, Echofold, and Anthropic's Claude Code Ambassador for Ireland Panel one: AI in practice, across manufacturing, recruitment, law and engineering. Bernard Denver, Managing Director of Metec Consulting Engineers Sean Devlin, Group Sales Director of MCS Group | Your Specialist Recruitment Consultancy Feargal Brennan, Managing Partner of Byrne Wallace Shields LLP Matthew Mullan, Senior Director of Cost Model Development at aPriori Technologies Panel two: the wider picture. Security, regulation and cost, and what it actually takes to adopt AI responsibly. Jonathan Eustace, Commercial Director of Microsoft Rebekah Brooks, Co-founder and COO of The Indie List Robert O'Farrell, Chief Technology Officer of ID-Pal Roger Courtney, Founder & CEO of Sunstone Between them they gave the room something it could take back to work. Plenty of people will tell you what has worked for them. Far fewer will tell you what did not, and that is what made these sessions worth sitting in on. Thank you to the Greater Dublin Chamber Alliance and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Chamber of Commerce for bringing their members along and for getting behind the idea from the start. This was the first Waypoint, and it will not be the last.

Amazing work from the Prime Arena Holdings Limited team and its great to be a part of this project, a first of it's kind in Ireland.
Prime Arena is thrilled to unveil the first CGI images and flythrough of our concept design for the proposed Cherrywood development, designed by global sports architecture firm Populous, giving the public their first real look at what we are building. From the moment you see it, the ambition is clear. The visuals present the venue across its full range of uses capturing the multipurpose, year-round vision that has driven this project from the very beginning. Two Olympic-sized ice rinks. An 8,000-capacity arena, expandable to 10,500 for concerts and other events. A destination projected to attract over 1.3 million visitors annually. Populous are one of the world's leading sports and entertainment architecture practices, with over 40 years of experience and 3,000+ major venues delivered across 34 countries. Their portfolio includes The Sphere in Las Vegas, Aviva Stadium, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Yankee Stadium. We couldn't be prouder to have them behind this design. As Dermot Rigley, our Founder and CEO, put it today: "When you see these images for the first time, it brings this project to life in a way that words never could. This is a world-class design for a world-class venue." Our new website is also live from today, hosting the full CGI gallery and flythrough — and if you haven't already, you can register your interest in Season Zero, giving early supporters the first opportunity to engage with the project ahead of key milestones in the period ahead.
