콜레토트리쿰속(학명: Colletotrichum, 유성생식형: 그로메렐라속(Glomerella) )은 식물 내에 기생하는 식물병원성 곰팡이의 한 속이다. 이 속에 속하는 대부분의 종이 식물병원체이지만 일부는 기주식물과 상리 공생을 이룬다.^[1] 사람에게 결막염 등 신체적인 피해를 주기도 한다.^[2]

연구사

콜레토트리쿰속의 역사는 병합파와 분열파 사이의 긴장에서 온 사례 연구를 한 것이다.^[3] 콜레토트리쿰속의 학명(Colletotrichum)이 1831년에 처음 제시되었지만^[4] 이 속에 속하는 종의 정확한 정의는 그 이후로도 계속 흔들렸다.^[5] 최근 가장 커다란 변화는 형태학에 따른 정의(해당 속과 그에 속한 종들 모두)를 형태학 및 분자계통발생학의 조합에 따른 정의로 바꾸었다.^[6]^[5] 분자계통발생학의 응용에 따라 이 속으로 인정받은 콜레토리쿰속 내 종의 수가 엄청나게 불어났으며, 이렇게 인정받은 종들을 보통 가장 널리 알려진 종소명을 갖는 종 복합체로 정리시켰다. 동명의 종 복합체를 언급할 때에는 종소명에 접미사 s.l. 또는 sensu lato(뜻은 ‘광의적’)가 붙는 반면, 종 복합체 내의 특정 종을 언급할 때에는 동명에 접미사 s.s. 또는 sensu stricto(뜻은 ‘협의적’)가 붙는다.

이 속의 가장 근래의 조사에 따르면 총 248종인 것으로 확인이 되었으며, 그 중 대부분이 종 복합체 14개로 분류할 수 있다.^[7] 역사가 미래의 지표라면, 이 속에 속하는 종 복합체와 하위 종 목록은 더 많은 정보를 제공받음에 따라 계속 재정의하고 재구성하게 될 것이다.
