At the NAPE Warri Chapter’s October Technical/Business Meeting, themed “Transforming Petroleum Assets into Value: The Emerging Role of Operators,” industry professionals came together to discuss the role operators play in maximising asset performance and sustaining value across the petroleum value chain. Representing ND Western, our Chief Operating Officer, Oghenekaro Ovraiti joined fellow industry professionals to discuss how technical and commercial decisions translate into operational results. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on these priorities and the role operators continue to play in Nigeria’s energy industry. We appreciate NAPE Warri Chapter for bringing industry professionals together for this discussion. #NDWestern #NAPE #OilAndGas #AssetManagement #EnergyIndustry

How can better subsurface understanding and real-time drilling data translate into better wells? This was at the heart of the discussion at the September Technical/Business Meeting of the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE), sponsored by ND Western. The session, “Leveraging Integrated Subsurface Evaluation and Real-Time Drilling Intelligence to Maximize Reservoir Value and Optimize Well Delivery,” brought together two members of our technical team, Dr Christopher Asuquo Jackson, Head of Geoscience (AMT), ND Western, and Francis Effiong, Well Engineer, ND Western, to share insights from the Utor-40 well drilling project in the Utorogu Field, OML 34. The Utor-40 experience offered a practical look at how better integration of subsurface insight and drilling intelligence can help teams navigate uncertainty, refine well placement, respond to what the formation is revealing in real time, and ultimately improve well delivery and reservoir value. For us, technical knowledge creates the most value when it moves beyond reports and models and directly informs decisions in the field. That is why platforms such as NAPE’s Technical/Business Meeting matter. They create room for practitioners to share what they are learning from actual wells, challenge conventional thinking and strengthen the collective technical capacity of our industry. The subsurface will always present uncertainties. The advantage lies in how quickly, intelligently and collaboratively we respond to them. #NDWestern #NAPE #OML34 #WellEngineering #OilAndGas

Nigeria’s energy ambitions will only go as far as the people and expertise needed to deliver them. This will be the focus of the 3rd edition of the Annual Layi Fatona Lecture Series convened by the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society in collaboration with ND Western. Themed “Development of Geoscience Human Capital for the Nigerian Upstream Sector - The Degeconek Experience,” the lecture will explore how Nigeria can deliberately build world-class geoscience talent from within, drawing practical lessons from the Degeconek experience. Abiodun Olufemi Adesanya, FNMGS, will deliver the keynote, with Mr Osayande Igiehon, CEO of Heirs Energies Ltd., chairing the session. The lecture will be held on Friday, 2 October 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Dr Layi Fatona Lecture Theatre, University of Ibadan, with stakeholders across industry and academia also able to participate virtually via Zoom. As Nigeria looks to deepen local capability and build the expertise required for the next phase of energy growth, the conversation could not be more timely. #NDWestern #EnergyLeadership #HumanCapital #NMGS

Africa Oil Week 2026 was a week of important conversations, shared perspectives and meaningful connections for ND Western. From insightful keynote and panel sessions led by our CEO, Lanre Kalejaiye, who delivered the keynote address, Building Africa’s Energy Future: Closing the Capacity Gap; our CFO, Azfar Hussain, who explored Exploration and Portfolio Strategies: Signals for the Next Investment Cycle; and our CTO, Ebenezer Ajayi, who joined the panel session, Unlocking Marginal Fields and Mature Assets, to engaging with industry peers, our team contributed its operational experience to conversations shaping the future of Africa's energy sector. Away from the conference sessions, we hosted a private networking reception where industry leaders, partners and stakeholders connected and exchanged ideas. Thank you to everyone who connected with us at Africa Oil Week 2026. #NDWestern #AOW2026 #AfricaOilWeek #EnergyFinance #PortfolioStrategy

Taking the stage for his second panel session at Africa Oil Week 2026 on “Exploration & Portfolio Strategies: Signals for the Next Investment Cycle,” ND Western Chief Financial Officer, Azfar Hussain, shared practical insights on how independent producers can take charge of their own growth rather than relying on external models. Drawing from ND Western’s operational perspective, Azfar Hussain highlighted that while ambitious regional production targets exist, true progress depends on independent companies coming together to maximize the value of existing assets, harness extensive subsurface data, and drive data-backed decision-making. The discussion also explored the critical need for intra-African collaboration and building self-reliant partnerships across the continent. At ND Western, these principles continue to guide our approach to disciplined growth, strong financial management, and building resilient energy solutions for Africa’s future. #NDWestern #AOW2026 #AfricaOilWeek #EnergyFinance #PortfolioStrategy

Delivering a compelling keynote address titled “Building Africa’s Energy Future: Closing the Capacity Gap” at Africa Oil Week 2026, ND Western CEO, Lanre Kalejaiye outlined a practical approach to turning the continent's proven resource potential into tangible economic progress. In his speech, he reiterated why the continent's energy conversation must move beyond talking about resource abundance to actively building the capacity needed to deliver on that promise. He further fleshed out human capability by emphasizing the development of technical and vocational talent through structured mentorship and programs like ND Western’s Specialized Intensive Training Program giving young African professionals a real platform to build, innovate, and lead, while highlighting shared infrastructure through building, maintaining, and sharing resilient regional connections to ensure upstream gains translate directly into domestic power, petrochemicals, manufacturing, and sustained economic growth. It was a grounded reminder that when we empower local talent and build the right systems, we do more than just produce energy, we build the foundation that truly powers nations. #NDWestern #AOW2026 #AfricaOilWeek #LeadershipInEnergy #EnergyTransition

In a separate session focused on Unlocking Marginal Fields and Mature Assets, our Chief Technical Officer, Ebenezer Ajayi, shared practical, field-tested approaches to maximizing value from existing assets. He highlighted how ND Western has established a clear operational roadmap moving purposefully from initial production stabilization and targeted drilling into an ambitious phase of growth management, backed by a strong five-year outlook. During the session, he emphasized that mature fields hold immense untapped potential when approached with technical precision. By pairing rigorous subsurface assessments with disciplined development drilling, operators can effectively validate field potential, manage natural decline rates, and turn complex subsurface data into sustainable, long-term commercial value. Beyond the panel discussions, it was a fantastic day for building connections capturing great moments together with our leadership team, industry peers, and delegates across the exhibition floor. #NDWestern #AOW2026 #AfricaOilWeek

At Africa Oil Week 2026, our leadership took the stage in Accra to tackle two critical pillars of upstream growth: capital strategy and asset optimization. Speaking on the Financial Leadership Exchange panel, Chief Financial Officer Azfar Hussain brought a clear, pragmatic perspective on resilient fiscal strategies for complex energy projects and how independent producers can remain strong through shifting market cycles. He highlighted that while gas remains the clear pathway to industrialization across Africa, long-term growth can’t rely on temporary state interventions every few years. True market sustainability comes from sound capital allocation and building resilient, balanced structures that stand on their own strength. Great moments on stage and wonderful connecting with industry peers, partners, and leaders across the continent throughout the event. ND Western continues to contribute to these vital industry conversations that drive lasting value into Africa’s energy sector. #NDWestern #AOW2026 #AfricaOilWeek #EnergyLeadership #EnergyFinance
