Take Take Take

We love a good show for a good cause! On Monday we hosted NRK TV-aksjonen for a "celebrity chess" stream with Torstein Bae & Maud Rødsmoen. Ten esteemed guests came by, and they certainly got their pulse up - competing with only 5 mins on the clock 🥵 This year, TV-aksjonen is fundraising for Norwegian Refugee Council, helping people fleeing from war and conflict - a cause that deserves our attention in 2026. Thanks for showing off your brilliant moves & (a few) blunders: 🏆 Jan Egeland Adelina Ibishi Bahare Viken Joakim Kleven Roger Finjord Sofie Sæther Nate Kahungu Hedda Gundersen Gullikstad Dennis Vareide Wasim Zahid Erlend Mørch & Steinar Hallert 🏆

Sneak peek of web 🤫 coming soon.

You know you're onto something when... ...the day after launching your new chess platform, the globally dominating chess.com, with 200M+ users, terminates your broadcast partnership (<1hr before air time!). We're sad to no longer be broadcasting Titled Tuesday, the weekly blitz tournament where the world's best players compete. We loved this weekly ritual and genuinely sought to build it into the Premier League of Chess. On the bright side, our Tuesday evenings just freed up to work on the new platform (🔗 app download link in comments). Want to join Mats André Kristiansen, myself & the Take Take Take team shaking things up in the chess world? Check out our open roles across Finance, Growth, Product, Engineering & Design 🚀

Aaaand we're out! 🥳 After months of build mode, Take Take Take has finally launched our new chess platform. Built specifically for casual players looking to improve, TTT lets you play chess, get coaching, and share your chess journey with friends - all in one place. If you, like me, are stuck around 800-2000 rating*, find it too tedious to study chess books, but instead would love personalized & engaging coaching, this platform is for you. We already launched the best game review on the market (test it!), and we can’t wait to ship further coaching features 🛳️ 🛳️   For the next few weeks, the platform is 100% free to use - get it on App Store / Google Play 🏃♀️ A big shout-out to the small** but incredible TTT team who has pulled this together. Since I joined about a year ago, we have transformed our company - from elite chess coverage to a product focused on casual players' own learning journey. For many months it's felt like we've been running two companies at once: chess coverage by day, building our new platform by night. It feels awesome to come out as a fully-fledged Play/Learn/Share platform 🔥 Where will you play your next game? ♟️ *Alright yes, as you’ll find when you follow me in the app, I‘m still pushing the lower end of that range 😅 **Small AND growing – check out our open roles across Growth, Finance, Product, Engineering, Design!
