Manufacturing Index – Aug’26 | +0.66%YoY / -4.96%MoM LSM recorded growth of 0.66%YoY in Aug’26, primarily supported by Wood Products (+243%), Furniture (+73%) and Coke & Petroleum Products (+32%). Nonetheless, on a MoM basis, the index declined 4.96%, reflecting a slowdown in manufacturing activity amid rising inflationary pressures and supply chain disruptions in the Middle East. Growth in petroleum-based products, garments and cigarettes contributed to advancing the LSM index on an YoY basis, thereby offsetting declines in Fertilizers, Wheat and Juices. On a cumulative basis, the index posted growth of 1.85% in 2MFY27.
