This is the second year in a row Apple has skipped <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2024\/06\/06\/apples-design-awards-winners-are-missing-ai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AI-centric apps for its awards<\/a>. <\/p>\n<div class=\"tc-event-inline-cta\">\n<div class=\"hellobar_disrupt_promo_slot\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company did highlight some apps with AI features, though, including <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/speechify-text-to-speech\/id1209815023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Speechify<\/a> (which won in the Inclusivity category), and music creation and editing app <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/moises-the-musicians-app\/id1515796612\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Moises<\/a> (both are venture-backed startups).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unsurprisingly, Apple focuses more on how developers have used its tools to build better experiences.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company named 12 winners (one app and one game in each) across six categories: Delight and Fun, Innovation, Interaction, Inclusivity, Social Impact, and Visuals and Graphics. Meanwhile, <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2024\/02\/14\/ios-design-startup-play-lets-devs-share-app-prototypes-easily-via-app-clips\/\">M13-backed developer prototyping tool Play<\/a> was awarded
