About us

Clarendon Fund Managers is a venture capital fund manager based in Belfast. We manage two live venture capital funds and a Private Investor Network. Co-Fund NI is a £50m equity fund, funded by Invest NI and British Business Investments, seeking to invest in high growth companies alongside business angels, corporates, universities, funds and other private investors. Cheque sizes vary from £150k to £500k up to a maximum of £2.5m in any one company. Investment Fund for Northern Ireland is a £33m equity fund, funded by British Business Bank seeking to invest in high growth companies across start-up, early stage, growth or expansion stages of development. Cheque sizes range from £250k to £3m to a maximum of £5m in any one company. We also manage the Clarendon Private Investor Network. CPIN members are typically High Net Worth individuals and sophisticated investors who back businesses but also spend time advising founders and helping with their growth plans. We organise a number of pitching events throughout the year, where companies pitch their businesses to the Members with the anticipation that this facilitates investment into the companies. Should you wish to discuss Co-Fund NI, IFNI or CPIN please don't hesitate to get in touch with one of our team.

🎉 A major milestone for our Investment Fund for Northern Ireland   Since launching in 2023, the fund has helped unlock more than £100m of investment backing 64 smaller businesses across Northern Ireland.   That includes more than £44m invested directly, alongside over £62m in private sector co-investment.   From developing new products and entering international markets to creating jobs and accelerating growth, the fund is helping ambitious businesses across Northern Ireland reach their potential.   Thank you to our fund managers Clarendon Fund Managers and Whiterock for helping make this impact possible 👏

  • 👉 How private investment can accelerate Northern Ireland’s ambition ‘More can be achieved to help some of our most innovative businesses take the next step on their growth trajectory’ - Sian Two years into deploying IFNI, we've made 12 investments totalling £19m, with up to £5m available per company. The fund exists to close the equity gap that has long sat between angel funding and the larger UK funds: the point where ambitious NI companies often stall. Three of the first 12 are female-founded, and the backing spans consumer products, life sciences, ICT and fintech. IFNI is patient and flexible, and it's crowding private investment in rather than out: a further £29m to date. https://lnkd.in/eXfbwD-E

  • Clarendon Fund Managers was delighted to support Health Innovation Research Alliance Northern Ireland (HIRANI)’s Tech Spring 2026 at the Titanic Building this week - two days that showcased exactly why Northern Ireland’s healthtech and life sciences ecosystem is one of the most exciting places to be investing right now. The breadth on display was remarkable. Precision medicine, digital health, diagnostics, medical devices, therapeutics, founders tackling problems that genuinely matter, underpinned by world class science from our universities and a Health and Social Care system uniquely positioned as a test bed for innovation. Equally important was the alignment in the room. Industry, clinicians, researchers, government and investors, all pulling in the same direction. We continue to be proud backers of ambitious local companies in this sector, businesses building innovations that have the potential to improve and save lives, while generating real economic value for the region. The pipeline of founders coming through is strong, and we’re excited about what the next few years hold. Thank you to HIRANI and all the partners who made this event happen. • 🙌 What a morning! The Clarendon team took to the streets of Belfast today as part of Northern Ireland Hospice’s Clash of the Companies - a city wide scavenger hunt for palliative care for children and adults across Northern Ireland. From St George’s Market to wherever the clues took us, the team gave it everything and had a brilliant time doing it! NI Hospice does extraordinary work supporting patients and families through some of life’s most difficult moments. We’re proud to have played a small part in that today. Thank you to the Northern Ireland Hospice team for putting on such a fantastic event. It was wonderful to see Belfast’s business community showing up for what matters.💜 #ClashOfTheCompanies #NIHospice #Belfast #GivingBack
