  • Younger audiences making themselves heard 🎤 In the midst of this year's Festival, the Youth Takeover Day saw young people from across Edinburgh come together to get creative, ask questions and share ideas. They spoke with visionary saxophonist Camilla George and Festival Director Nicola Benedetti, and picked their brains on the inner workings of the Festival and artistry. Capping it all off with a jazztastic performance at The Hub 🎷 You can discover more about our Youth Takeover Day over on our website: https://lnkd.in/eN9XjC7G

  • Last night at the Central and East Thistle Awards delivered by VisitScotland, the Edinburgh International Festival was presented with the Climate Action Award. It is a great honour to be recognised for the effort that goes into making our global celebration of the performing arts as sustainable as possible 💚 Earlier in the year we shared that the Festival was first charity in the UK to be certified on BSI's Net Zero Pathway. It is crucial that we continue to work towards genuine emissions reductions. With this award we move forward to the National Final at Edinburgh International Conference Centre on 20th November 2026. Huge congratulations to our Sustainability Manager Terry Roberts whose tireless work made this award possible. Shoutout to the other 2026 Central and East Regional Winners 👏 📸 Connor Mollison
