Note-Taking Software
The AI notepad for people in back-to-back meetings. You jot the things that matter to you (like a regular notepad) and Granola transcribes in the background. When the meeting ends, Granola uses AI to enhance your notes and make them great. You can chat with Granola about your meeting notes: ask it to recall things, analyse themes across notes or to take actions, like writing a follow up email. No bots join your calls, and Granola works with every meeting platform on Mac or Windows. And you can use it in person or on outbound phone calls on iPhone.

Announcing Internet Icons, a new event series at Granola celebrating the pioneers behind the things we now take for granted online. First up: 22 October: Eben Upton, co-founder and CEO of Raspberry Pi, the affordable little computer that got millions of kids (and plenty of grown-ups) tinkering, coding and building. Hosted by our very own Gillian Yeomans. 3 November: Julia Whitney, who spent 2004 to 2016 at the BBC and led design for the original BBC iPlayer, as people’s media habits shifted from radio and TV to online, then mobile. Moderated by Sarah Drinkwater. 10 November: Jeffrey Veen, co-founder of Typekit. Hard to imagine now, but websites used to be stuck with the same handful of fonts. Typekit changed that, and it’s a big reason the web stopped looking so uniform and people could bring some individuality to their corner of it. RSVP links in the comments, see you there!

I've trained 265+ GTM operators across 4 cohort of GTM Engineer School. Yet when they move to Claude Code, the same mistakes show up again and again. Most of them come from using Claude Code like a normal Claude chat. Outputs drift, the bill goes up, and you start wondering what the actual task was about. The most common pitfalls I see are: → Picking Cowork vs Claude Code → Squeezing five tasks into one chat → Letting Claude build before making a plan → Ignoring things like context window, model and effort level → No CLAUDE.md or context, so Claude has no knowledge of you On Wednesday I'll show you how to fix all 5 live, setting up a real marketing workspace using Granola as an example — from scratch. No coding needed. I'm not an engineer. Free Lightning Lesson, Wed 21 Oct, 1pm UK / 8am ET. Everyone who registers gets my in-house marketing repo: CLAUDE.md and 12 skills, ready to use. Join live and you also get a promo code for my next cohort where we go much deeper and you build the system yourself. DM me "mistakes" and I'll send you the link. PS. 34 people are already in, mostly founders, Marketing operators, and Marketing leaders. See you there >:)

How do small teams ship software people love, fast, with no QA department and no design handoff? We’re getting into it with Linear and Figma in San Francisco. Craft at Speed is an evening for engineers who care about the gap between “it works” and “it feels right.” Brendan Carney, Engineering Lead at Linear, on why Linear runs without a separate QA function or a design-to-eng handoff, and how a small team keeps the bar high whilst shipping weekly. Maria Kazandjieva, Engineering Lead at Figma, on how engineers, designers, and PMs build better software together when design and code live side by side, and collaboration is built in from the start. Made for design engineers, frontend and mobile engineers and anyone who won’t settle for “good enough.” RSVP: https://lnkd.in/g48bWYm3

A screenshot function felt like a useful addition to Granola, but clicking away during meetings didn’t exactly sit well with our core value of being present. So, our engineer Mehedi thought: what if the information you needed was just... there for you, automatically? Read Mehedi’s post about the challenging, thoughtful journey that led to our new Snapshots feature. https://lnkd.in/e2FYT8Mq
