OFFICE BEHAVIOURS THAT ARE FAITHFUL-ISH: - cancelling a meeting that was going to be at 5pm - reacting to someone's Slack joke with a 😂 - holding the lift when someone shouts ‘hold the lift’ - watering the office plants - going out of your way to give someone positive feedback - telling everyone when there's leftover food in the kitchen

🚨PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT 🚨 We’re focusing on something exciting today - our new Junior Stocks & Shares ISA! We’ve made it easy to keep investing towards your child’s future over time, and it doesn’t have to be built by one person alone. Friends and family can add money with a shared gifting link - so birthday money, presents from grandparents and regular contributions can all grow together. As with any investment, the value can go up and down, and you may get back less than you invest. Add money any time, set up scheduled contributions, and send roundups directly from your spending so building their Junior ISA doesn’t count on you remembering to top-up. You choose where it’s invested, make changes and with fee-free Monzo investments, you only need to pay fund management costs which means more money set aside for your child. The Junior ISA lives in the app alongside the rest of your money. So you can keep track of its balance, contributions, investments, performance and how much of the yearly tax-free allowance is left. Head to the app to learn more. The value of your investment can go up and down and you could get back less than you put in. You need a Monzo current account to use Investments. 18+. Ts&Cs apply. And now for the fun bit: - Monzo only offers a Junior Stocks & Shares ISA and does not offer a Junior Cash ISA. - Monzo’s Junior Stocks & Shares ISA is available for children under the age of 16. - Both you (the parent/guardian) and your child must be UK residents. - You won’t pay Monzo Investments fees , so more money stays invested in the child’s future. You’ll only pay a fund management cost, depending on the investments you choose. - Money invested in a Junior ISA belongs to the child, cannot be withdrawn until they turn 18, and automatically converts to an adult Stocks & Shares ISA at age 18. - Tax treatment depends on individual circumstances and may change in future.

OFFICE BEHAVIOURS THAT ARE TRAITOR-ISH: - booking in a meeting at 5pm on a Friday - giving amends after something’s been signed off - not holding the lift when someone shouts ‘hold the lift’ - spelling someone's name wildly wrong - eating someone else’s food from the fridge - joining a call on mute with video off and only typing ‘bye’ at the end

Last week, we hosted an intimate gathering centered on the theme of 'Learnings' with Irish storytelling night, Seanchoíche. Eight amazing business owners from across the country and beyond took the stage to share their stories with us. The takeaway? Business isn't just numbers and spreadsheets; it’s people, passion, and resilience. Hearing these unfiltered stories reminded us why supporting small, local businesses and entrepreneurs in Ireland is at the heart of what we do. A huge thank you to everyone who stepped up to share their story, to the team at Séanchoíche, and to everyone who came out to make it such an inspiring night! Monzo Bank Europe Designated Activity Company, trading as Monzo, is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. Only sole traders or limited companies in Ireland are eligible for Business accounts. T&Cs apply.

As part of Black History Month, we have a whole host of African and Caribbean vendors serving incredible food in our offices throughout October. We know it’s Monday morning, and we should be having a healthy bowl of granola for breakfast. And we are, but we can’t help but reminisce about the patties we had last week as a midweek treat from Jamaican Patty Co. Just look how good they look! Big shoutouts to the Space and Community Team and Black Monzo for organising it all 🤩

Growing up, talking about money around the dinner table always felt like a bit of a taboo. As a mum myself, I think it’s so important to break that stigma at home, involving kids in simple, everyday chats about budgeting and savings to give them as much money confidence as possible before they step out into the real world. That’s why today feels like such a special milestone for us at Monzo. Building on our fast growing suite of long-term investment products, we’ve launched our Junior Stocks & Shares ISA, bringing long-term investing into the same app where over a million young people are already managing their daily money habits. When parents think about investing for their children, it often feels daunting or something that requires bigger lump sums each time. But you don't need big amounts to give your kids a head start. It could be setting up a quiet £5 or £10 automatic transfer in the background which can build real momentum over a longer period.  It’s also a team effort. Every child gets a £9,000 tax-free allowance each year, subject to eligibility, and anyone from grandparents to godparents can chip in directly with simple gifting links, so birthday money, presents and regular contributions can all grow together. And talking of a team effort, huge credit to the Monzo team who put so much heart into building this. Take a look at how it works here 👉 https://lnkd.in/e34dvS67 A few things to know  The value of your investment can go up and down and you could get back less than you put in. - Monzo only offers a Junior Stocks and Shares ISA and does not offer a Junior Cash ISA.  - Monzo’s Junior Stocks & Shares ISA is available for children under the age of 16.  - Monzo charges £0 in platform fees, so more money stays invested in the child’s future. - Both the parent/guardian and the child must be UK residents.  - A Monzo current account is needed to use Investments. 18+. It’s October in the office. No one quite knows how to dress for the weather. Some people walk in wearing scarves, gloves and a hat. Others walk in wearing shorts and a t-shirt. The main break room discussion is based around who does the best pumpkin spice latte. There’s lots of talk about Halloween outfit planning, how early is too early to put the Christmas tree up, and when the leaves are going to turn brown. And over in the distance, you hear the scariest words: ’2027 is only three months away!’
