Changing the world one leader at a time | Executive Search & Leadership Advisors
About us
Saxton Bampfylde is an independent, employee-owned executive search and leadership advisory firm, with 40 years of heritage, founded on a mission to change the world by changing who leads it. With offices in London and Edinburgh, and global partners spanning 21 countries, we work with organisations across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors to find and appoint senior leaders who make a lasting difference. Our approach is research-led and genuinely consultative, built on long-term partnerships that often span decades. Each assignment is led by senior consultants who specialise in their sectors, working within a firm that spans many of them, so clients benefit from deep sector knowledge and a wider view of the leadership market at the same time. A dedicated researcher immerses themselves fully in every brief, mapping the market in depth and engaging candidates with care. We take time to understand an organisation, and we stay close throughout. It's an approach that holds up: we have a 98% appointment success rate. Beyond search, we support organisations through executive assessment, coaching, board review and leadership advisory, bringing the same depth of thinking to every stage of the leadership journey. Inclusive leadership sits at the heart of what we do. Because our researchers go beyond the obvious and the available, and because of the reach and depth of our networks, we are able to present shortlists that genuinely reflect the full range of talent. We work hard to make that a reality for every client. For those considering a career in executive search, we offer something a little different. As an employee-owned business, every member of the firm is a partner with a real stake in our work and our culture. We are a collegial, curious team, drawn from varied backgrounds, working across sectors, and motivated by the quality and impact of what we do.

The Future Rural Payments Service (FRPS) is one of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) Group’s largest transformation programmes, reshaping how grants and payments are delivered through a simpler, more resilient and adaptable service. With a programme budget of approximately £100 million, FRPS will replace six legacy systems, helping customers access £2.5 billion of funding each year while creating a platform capable of supporting future grants and payments services across Defra Group. One of the most rewarding parts of our work is seeing the long-term impact of great appointments. Earlier this week, we were fortunate to spend an hour with Charlotte Hill OBE, CEO of Felix. Our Social Impact Practice appointed Charlotte in 2022 and, since then, Felix has grown from a London charity into a national force tackling food waste and food insecurity - I loved Charlotte's summary of the organisations role when she described it as a logistics company with heart. We've been delighted to continue our work with the charity, completing a number of Non-Executive Director appointments, so it was particularly special for the team to hear Charlotte reflect on charity's journey and the role leadership has played in its growth. A reminder that, while our role is only one small part of the story, it is incredibly rewarding to see clients thrive and make such a meaningful difference. Thank you, Charlotte, for taking the time to visit us, you're welcome at the Ministry anytime, and thank you to Augusta Bunting for making it happen. #Leadership #SocialImpact #ExecutiveSearch #NonExecutiveDirectors #Felix

Congratulations to Tracey Bleakley and the Royal Osteoporosis Society on this important appointment. It was a privilege to support the Board through the search process. We wish Tracey every success as she takes up the role in November.
We are delighted to announce that Tracey Bleakley will join us on 30 November 2026 as our new Chief Executive. Tracey brings a wealth of senior leadership experience having held Chief Executive roles both in the NHS and charity sector. She joins ROS at a pivotal time for bone health. Osteoporosis affects millions of people across the UK, yet too many people remain undiagnosed and untreated until they experience painful, life-changing fractures. With Tracey’s leadership we are confident we can achieve our goals: to increase the visibility of osteoporosis, provide information and support to those affected and bring about the changes in policy and practice needed to prevent avoidable fractures.
