From music and theatre to dance, comedy, literature and everything in between. What a night celebrating the arts! For the third year, the Sky Arts Awards brought together some of the brightest names and emerging talent in British and Irish arts and culture at London's Roundhouse, hosted by Sir Grayson Perry and Self Esteem. With performances from Johnny Marr, English National Ballet and Victor Ray, we celebrated extraordinary achievements across the full spectrum of the arts, recognising the artists and creatives whose work inspires, challenges and brings people together. Among the evening's special honours, Johnny Marr received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his incredible contribution to music, while Liz Light, founder of Stage2 Youth Theatre, was named Arts Hero for her 38 years of helping young people discover the power of theatre. From established icons to the next generation of creative talent, we're proud to continue championing the people and stories that make our arts and culture scene so special. A huge congratulations to all our winners and nominees.

Four years ago, Tilly stepped inside Sky for the first time to take part in the Sky Up Academy Studios experience. Today, she’s back at Sky, this time as an Apprentice Edit Assistant in our Post Production team. That first experience helped Tilly see that a career in film and TV could be more than an ambition. It could be a reality. Her journey is a reminder of what can happen when young people are given the opportunity to go behind the scenes of a workplace, build their confidence and see where their skills could take them. This week, a new cohort of young people are starting their own journey with our Get Started with News and Sport programme, delivered in partnership with The King's Trust. Over the coming weeks, they’ll get the chance to explore careers across the industry, build practical skills and get an insight into what it’s like to work in news and sport.

Every rumour. Every season-defining moment. This is where it all comes together. From the studios to our screens, it takes a team to bring the magic of Transfer Deadline Day to life. Before the summer Transfer Window closed, we followed Studio Directors Polly and Kat behind one of the biggest days in the football calendar. From breaking stories to last-minute deals, they shared the part they play in bringing fans closer to the action. #LifeAtSky

Thousands of walkers and cyclists, hundreds of Sky colleagues and VIP customers taking on the challenge. What a day at Palace to Palace 🚴♀️🚶♂️ For the second year running, we joined The King's Trust as headline partner, with our teams helping to raise £900,000 and counting to support young people across the UK. We caught up with some of the participants along the way to hear how they were getting on and what supporting The King’s Trust means to them. Our partnership with The King’s Trust is all about helping young people build confidence, develop skills and access opportunities. Take a look at how the day unfolded.

What can a week at Sky mean for your future? For Porscha, Hari and Ray, taking part in our Get Started with News and Sport programme, in partnership with The King's Trust, was a chance to explore careers in media, build their confidence and get hands-on experience of the industry. Now, applications are open for the next cohort, giving young people aged 18–25 who are not in education, employment or training the chance to explore careers across News and Sport, learn from industry professionals and develop practical media skills. The next programme takes place at our Osterley campus from 12–16 October. Apply by 1 October via the link in the comments.

That's a wrap on this year's Sky internships. Last week, we came together to celebrate our incredible intern cohort as they reached the end of their internship journey with us. Across teams from Technology and Data to Finance, Marketing and beyond, our interns have spent the summer learning, collaborating and making a real impact at Sky. The celebration was a chance to reflect on everything they've achieved, reconnect with one another, and recognise just how much they've grown in such a short space of time. Whether they're heading back to university, exploring their next opportunity or hoping to join us again in the future, we're excited to see where their journeys take them.

A third of participants in The King’s Trust Get Started with News and Sport programme are now in full-time employment. Through Under Salt Marsh, we worked with WWF to support saltmarsh restoration in Wales and create educational resources for 144 schools. And our pioneering mobile power unit is providing a cleaner, quieter alternative to diesel generators for film and TV production. These are just a few of the ways our teams and partners are creating opportunities, supporting communities and reducing our impact on the environment. This week, we celebrated the incredible achievements of our Graduates and Apprentices at our Sky Early Careers graduation event. Marking the end of one chapter and the start of an exciting new one. The day brought everyone together to celebrate their individual programme journeys, recognise outstanding achievements through our Sky Values Awards, and explore what's next, including future development opportunities. We were joined by Sky News Presenter Gareth Barlow and Group Chief Operating Officer Nick Herm, who both shared their stories and perspective of career development - and what advice they had for taking their next steps. Congratulations to our Class of 2026 🎉 #LifeAtSky
