  • That’s a wrap on LegalGeek 2026! 🎧 Thank you to everyone who came to the Silent Disco Vinyl Stage for our founder and CEO Stephen Dowling SC’s five-minute product pitch, and to everyone who stopped by our stand to talk litigation and AI. Stephen’s message was simple: litigation is not like other legal work, and the tools built for it shouldn’t be either. General-purpose AI tools can draft, summarise and search. But a dispute brings its own demands: 🔹 Thousands of unstructured documents that need to be interrogated, not just stored 🔹 Chronologies, issues and witness evidence that all have to connect back to the source 🔹 Court-compliant bundles that change right up to the hearing 🔹 A hearing room where accuracy, confidentiality and speed all matter at once A tool that doesn’t understand that workflow leaves gaps, and in litigation those gaps cost time, money and sometimes credibility in front of the court. That’s why we built TrialView as one platform for the whole case, from the first document to the final hearing, with AI designed for each stage of litigation. Thank you to Legal Geek for a brilliant two days. If we didn’t get the chance to speak, we’d love to show you what litigation-specific AI looks like in practice. • Cross-examining through an interpreter, as Or Baron Gil puts it, is "like trying to put together a 500-piece puzzle with oven mittens on." 🧩 We were delighted to support the Meitar | Law Offices team at a five-day arbitration in London last week, where two witnesses gave evidence in Hebrew before an English tribunal. With the assistance of stellar simultaneous translation, the team cross-examined in Hebrew while questions and answers were translated live for the tribunal, opposing counsel and the record. Our TrialView operator kept pace, switching seamlessly between Hebrew and English exhibits so that everyone stayed on the same page. Multilingual hearings are increasingly common, and it's great to see what's possible when the right people and technology work together. And we really appreciate the kind words! #Arbitration #LegalTech #InternationalArbitration

I cross examined witnesses with the use of an interpreter many times, and always felt it was like trying to put together a 500-piece puzzle with oven mittens on. The witness has much more time to think through his/her answers, the pace of the examination is much slower, and issues of translation and mistranslation keep slowing the pace further. So i was not thrilled, to put it mildly in preparing for a five-day arbitration hearing we had in London last week, before an English tribunal, when I learned that two of the other side's witnesses insist on testifying in Hebrew. Fortunately, we found a solution - we used superb simultaneous translation of Sharon Ramon. Merav Ben Artzi Halpern and myself cross examined these witnesses in Hebrew (both questions and answers), and questions and answers were simultaneously translated for opposing counsel, for the tribunal, and for the hearing record. Problem solved. Asaf Niemoj The TrialView operator switched between Hebrew and and English exhibits with speed and ease, one of the lawyers in our team oversaw translation accuracy (there were only a couple of corrections throughout the day) and the hearing proceeded smoothly.

  • AI is already changing how litigation flows. The question now is how lawyers use it confidently, and when they need to exercise caution. As part of the The Law Society Commercial Litigation Conference 2026, our CEO, Stephen Dowling SC will be joining a panel to discuss "AI in litigation: opportunities, warnings and what's next". The session will look at how AI is being used in litigation today, the risks practitioners need to understand, and what the rise of agentic workflows means for the way disputes are handled. It brings together judicial and technology perspectives, which is exactly the conversation the profession needs right now. This excellent panel includes: 👉 Akber Datoo, CEO and founder, D2 Legal Technology 👉 Leah Alpren-Waterman, legal director and knowledge lawyer, Mishcon de Reya LLP de Reya 👉 HHJ Richard Pearce, acting designated civil judge, HMCTS This session will be online tomorrow, Thursday 8th October at 1.30pm. • Our founder and CEO, Stephen Dowling SC, didn't initially set out to build a legal tech company, but after 20 years as a commercial litigation barrister, he set out to fix problems he'd lived through firsthand. That's why TrialView exists, to solve the pain points and frustrations that legal teams experience on a daily basis in the world of disputes. TrialView cuts the time it takes to organise and analyse case material, which means faster preparation, faster hearings, faster access to justice. As Stephen reflects in this Elkstone Founder Series , the next frontier of legal AI won't be decided by features. It will be founded on accuracy and trust. The real question for legal tech companies should not be, "does this impress in a demo?" but rather, "does it hold up under real deadline pressure, on a real case." If you have a pain point you're trying to solve, our team would love to hear from you. https://lnkd.in/ezqxvW8d
