President
Kramer has worked to expand UTA into different lines of business during his tenure to date as president, overseeing the agency’s activity in film and television, comedy touring, media rights, publishing, creators, production arts and theater divisions. In recent years he’s invested in acquisitions of smaller talent and literary agencies (Curtis Brown Group) and publishing agencies (Fletcher & Co.) to bolster UTA’s capabilities. In 2024, the agency made a bigger bet on improving its game in the sports arena. To complement UTA partner Rich Paul’s Klutch Sports Group and its strength in basketball, UTA scooped up ROOF, which represents leading soccer players and related figures, and REP 1 Baseball, which reps big names in Major League Baseball. Kramer also struck a deal to buy JUV Consulting, a Gen Z-founded market research and creative services. The deal spree has been capitalized in part by UTA’s 2022 deal with global private equity firm EQT, which is UTA’s largest outside investor. Kramer began his career in UTA’s agent training program more than 30 years ago.
