Instructions

Instructions are for both 6 and 6T. You need to choose TWRP, CyanogenMod and rootfs for your model. If you try to install packages for wrong model you will break your phone!

Preparations

  1. Unlock Bootloader using fastboot oem unlock (have to check oem unlocking in settings).
  2. Install TWRP for Oneplus 6 or Oneplus 6T.

Installation

  1. Slot A MUST be running LOS 16 before Sailfish installation
  2. Sailfish MUST be flashed with slot A as your active slot.
  3. You must be running OOS 9.x on slot A prior to following these instructions. Use msmtool to restore to stock OOS 9.0
  4. fastboot --set-active=b
  5. fastboot boot twrp-3.3.1-2-enchilada.img
  6. If that doesn't work, change back to slot a, boot twrp and flash lineage. Then go back to previous instructions, switch to slot b and try booting twrp again.
  7. Dirty flash Lineage OS 16.0
  8. Reboot to bootloader in TWRP reboot menu.
  9. fastboot boot twrp-3.3.1-2-$DEVICE.img
  10. Navigate to the reboot menu and check the current slot, if it's SLOT A then you're good to go, otherwise flash LOS again.
  11. Copy the SFOS install zip to your storage and flash!
  12. Reboot phone
  13. Congratulations! You have now SailfishOS installed!

OTA Instructions

SailfishOS updates option in settings is my app and you should be able to use it to update. Alternatively run commands below in terminal.

  1. devel-su ssu re 5.1.0.11
  2. devel-su zypper clean -a
  3. devel-su zypper ref -f
  4. version --dup
  5. reboot
