Mischa Barton: Behind the Curve
Mischa Barton has called on Hollywood to turn its back on extreme dieting and celebrate "womanly curves" instead. The former O.C. actress worries that pictures of skeletal stars in magazines and newspapers is promoting eating disorders among young girls, and wants publications to stop their unhealthy obsession with weight. She says, "It’s so wrong to try and stifle womanly curves, it shouldn’t be promoted. This unhealthy look should be abandoned."
O-kay. I agree with your sentiment, Mischa. Really, I do. But maybe we should define "curves" before planning our celebration. Becauses my definition doesn't involve pelvic bones with a license to kill:
No, the curve of the bone doesn't count. Nor does that plaid diaper count as an actual article of clothing.

And I'm totally rocking this suit, which you would see if you'd just -- hey, do I need to break out the hungry bum again? Alrighty, you crazy Aussie, you asked for it..."

Jennifer Garner Tickled by Ticket
![]()
Jennifer Garner has a surprisingly upbeat attitude about her parking ticket. Me? Well, my reaction usually involves a finger, a very mature pout, an even more mature kick to the curb, and a few choice words about my, um, admiration for the dedication of those in the parking enforcement profession. (Not necessarily in that order.)

Cameron Diaz's "Nosy" Decision
Cameron Diaz is going under the knife to repair her nose, which she has broken four times (!) -- most recently when she smashed her face into her surfboard while celebrating her birthday in Hawaii. (What a way to ring in your 31st, huh?) Cam tells W magazine that she's even started experiencing breathing problems: “I’m over it. I’m getting it fixed.” According to The New York Post, Cam was so impressed with Ashlee Simpson’s nose job that she contacted Ashlee's doctor and booked an appointment.
No word yet on whether Cameron got the same "Kate Hudson Clone Package" that Ashlee purchased.

Scarlett Johansson: 'Orange I Sexy?'
![]()
Scarlett Johansson arrives at the London premiere of The Prestige, a movie about competing magicians -- which explains why her hair has magically turned orange. (Okay, Scarlett, very cute. Now turn it back to blonde. No, seriously -- turn it back. Please? You look like one of those sad clowns that frightened me as a child. Okay, they still frighten me. You are frightening me...! Stop looking at me like that! Mommy...?)

Another Reason to Love Paris Hilton
While attending a Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony this week for the owner of the Lakers, Paris Hilton was overheard complaining that she should have a star on the famous stretch of sidewalk. "I don't even know half these people," Paris reportedly whined. "And like most of them are dead. I should totally have a star. I deserve one. I'm one of the most famous people on earth!"
She is so right. I would totally pitch in to buy her a star -- way, way up in the sky where she and Tinkerbell could live happily ever after. (Okay, so they would burn to a crisp, but we could live happily ever after!)

Quote of the Day
"[My therapist] saved my f**king life and my career. I don't care what Tom Cruise says about therapy. Fu*k him. C*nt. Pick on poor Brooke Shields. People need medicine and they need therapists. Let the Scientologists go fu*king live on a planet of their own."
