We hear that the Academy of Motion pictures had the colossal nerve to ask Diana Ross to sing one of the nominated songs from Dreamgirls on the Oscar show. Are they out of touch or WHAT? First of all, when Diana was asked by Diane Sawyer what she thought of the movie, Diana replied " I haven't seen it - maybe I should see it with my lawyer." The movie is based on the Supremes, but doesn't focus on the "Diana" character. Mary Wilson, who loved the movie, predicted Diana might not like that. Plus, as Fox's Roger Friedman pointed out , Diana recently released an album "I Love You" and sales are dismal. We can only IMAGINE what she thought when the Academy asked her to sing a Dreamgirls song. So far, no response.

Janice Dickinson was rather subdued when she entered Fubar - the West Hollywood gay bar - Friday night with a "cute preppy guy around 25 years old." Was he a boyfriend, a makup artist, a nephew? A model from her show? They seemed friendly, but not overtly affectionate. Nobody could figure it out. Janice carried a bottle of water (the Lindsay Lohan ploy) but every time she spoke to someone she took a sip of their beer. Reminds us of smokers who are trying to quit by only smoking other peoples cigarettes. "Sober" Janice didn't totally disappoint the crowd- before she left she whipped off her jacket and danced around in her black lace bra.

We're hearing a persistant rumor that the sex tape of Ray J and Kim Kardashian DOES exist and will soon be on the market . Of course, the former lovers will blame a third party for releasing it , but actually THEY did it and will be sharing the profits. Apparently Paris Hilton is to blame for this brainstorm. She raved to her friend Kim about how much money she made from HER tape (remember she blamed someone else also) and advised Kim on exactly HOW to do it. Naturally, a big publicity build-up is important and heated denials before release inceases interest and demand. Ray and Kim are anticipating that their bedroom antics will make them rich - we wonder if they're well known enough to pull in the big bucks.
Just when you thought James Woods might have come to his senses - he's back with his barely legal girlfriend Ashley Madison, who is 39 years YOUNGER than he is. The Shark star made a big deal out of announcing that he broke up with the aspiring actress when she misbehaved and was insensitive at his brother's funeral. Ashley was described as wearing a micro miniskirt, chainsmoking, and looking at magazine photos of herself at the funeral while Woods wept. That was a few months ago and we thought James had actually wised up. But it didn't take long for him for forgive and forget, and Ashley is a fixture on the Shark set once again.
We're not surprised that ABC is crazy about Grey's Anatomy creator and head writer Shonda Rhimes (pictured here with Ellen Pompeo) - her hit show has salvaged the network. We just didn't realize how far they would go to make her happy. Studio people have been looking for a medium sized house in Hollywood not too far from where the show is filmed. The house is for Shonda - not to live in, but to write in. it seems she loves to SMOKE and it's against the law for her to smoke at the studio around other writers. So they're getting her a private house where she can write those brilliant scripts and smoke all she wants.
Ryan Philippe is officially back in circulation. - in a small way. He showed up at Winston's with his longtime buddy and partner in crime, Breckin Meyer, and around eight other friends. According to a witness, none of the girls seemed to be with Ryan. Ryan ordered bottles for the table, and the group enjoyed a festive evening but "Ryan seemed oblivious to the fact that every woman in the bar was acutely aware of his presence. He really looked GORGEOUS." He was the target of many flirty glances. In spite of opportunity lurking all around him, Ryan stuck with his friends and they all left together.

This hot rapper has a history he'd like to forget. His record label isn't worried about the fact that he's a former drug dealer- they're worried about his early sexual proclivities. Right now as he climbs up the charts, the label is very quietly buying up photos - and video if they can locate it - of their "talent" having sex with men! He's young in the photos but it's definitely him. Some of the gay websites with the pictures don't even realize who he is, so they cooperate. Our guy also has a very respectable girlfriend who would be horrified by his gay history. Can he bury his past?
From 2000, we see another little secret Pamela Anderson kept from her then fiancé Marcus Schenkenberg . They spent an afternoon in Beverly Hills and they stopped for lunch at the restaurant in Neiman Marcus. Apparently Pam didn't want to pig out in front of Marcus so while he indulged in a lobster club sandwich and french fries, she nibbled on a green salad with no dressing. But as soon as Marcus excused himself to go to the mensroom, Pam flagged down a waiter and told him to bring her a popover with butter and strawberry jam right away. Pam wolfed down the sweet treat in record time, and had the waiter remove the crumbs before Marcus returned to the table!
