Baby Talk
Britney Spears graces the cover of the new issue of US Weekly magazine this week and she is looking utterly faboo! The photos of the newly emerged Britney were released on Monday but I was asked by the photo agency not to post them (instead, I linked to their website). I cannot tell you how much it thrills me that Brit Brit is lookin' so good, so soon after giving birth to her second child (the name of which we're still not sure of):

This is a very good sign of things to come ... it appears that she is really taking her comeback seriously. Here's hoping that we've seen the last of those bare feet (tho, much to her credit, she hasn't been seen sans shoes for quite some time now), those fugly-ass scrunchies and that horrible marriage to Kevin Federline. Well, we don't always get everything we want ... but I'll take what I can get. [Source]
Madonna has posted an open letter on her official website to answer some of the criticism that she is recieving over the adoption of her new Malawian son David Banda ... here is the text of the letter in its entirety:

It makes perfect sense that the adoption process was begun long before Madonna made her visit to Malawi last week. It is utterly absurd to believe that, on a whim, Madonna decided to just pick up a new child and decided to raise it as her own one day and then had that child flown to London the following week. It sucks that this special moment for her family has to be marred by ridiculous charges that she stole the child or is engaging in human trafficking. I'm sure the decision to adopt this little boy wasn't taken lightly (but rumors that she wants to adopt a little girl as well are a bit strange) and I wish nothing but happiness for the newly completed family. Now all we need is to see pictures of all of Ciccone-Ritchies together. [Source, Source]
Justin Timberlake made his runway debut last night with his clothing line William Rast for LA Fashion Week. Here are a few photos from the event's red carpet:

Pop star Justin Timberlake isn't your typical fashion designer. So the runway debut of his William Rast clothing line wasn't a typical fashion show. Rather than show the collection at the official Los Angeles Fashion Week site, Culver City's Smashbox Studios, Timberlake took over one of Hollywood's hottest nightspots on Tuesday night. A runway and scores of bleacher seats were added to a section of Social Hollywood on Sunset Boulevard. The Boulevard3 club next door was used for the exclusive after-party, including a performance by Timberlake ... On the runway, there were skinny jeans for men and women, topped with tanks or muscle shirts. There were also country-inspired checkered shirts for men decorated with ruffles or leather details. Some were shown with ascots. Women's styles included cropped cardigans, shrunken sweaterdresses and puffy-sleeved blouses with bows at the neck. Later, dressier attire had a soundtrack of Nine Inch Nails and N.E.R.D. (Timberlake is said to have spent months picking the show's playlist.) Men wore plaid blazers with attached leather vests over slim-fitting slacks. Accessories were key as each outfit was adorned with oversized belt buckles or chunky pendants. One was a skull, another looked like a grenade. Hmmm ... I don't think Pete Wentz' Clandestine fashion show for NY Fashion Week a few weeks ago was quite this ambitious. I knew that JT dabbled in fashion (his clothing line debuted last year) but I had no idea he had plans to become a full-fledged fashion designer ... I guess we'll see if this clothing line has the legs to stand on its own. I suppose if Gwen Stefani can do it, so can JT. [Source]
Elsewhere last night, Nicole Richie was on hand for a cocktail party, DJed by superstar Samantha Ronson, for the launch of Charlotte Ronson's 2007 spring line ... here are a couple photos:

I don't really get why Nicole wore a painters smock to the event ... maybe she came right from art class and didn't have time to change? [Source]
Also yesterday, Tim McGraw became one of the newest celebs to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame ... here are a few photos from the event:

Award-winning country singer and actor Tim McGraw was honoured with a star on Hollywood's 'Walk of Fame'. McGraw, who starred in the acclaimed "Friday Night Lights" alongside Oscar-winner Billy Bob Thornton, is the 2,322nd celebrity to be honoured on the famous stretch of pavement. Thornton attended Tuesday's ceremony along with McGraw's wife, country star Faith Hill. "It's been a great ride for me for a long time," McGraw said. "This summer will make 18 years that I've been on the road playing music making my living." Now ya'll know that I am not a Country fan at all (I've got nothing against Country music, but I got more than my fill of the stuff while I was attending the University of Oklahoma) but I generally like Tim McGraw. He strikes me as a really cool, nice guy. Plus, he managed to win the heart of the nicest woman in Country music so he can't be all that bad. His song Don't Take the Girl was HUGE when I was living in Oklahoma so believe me ... I know all the words to that song. Congrats to Tim on this achievement, it honestly couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. [Source]
Jennifer Lopez is still chillin' in Spain with her family, hubby Marc Anthony and her dear sweet mother Guadalupe ... here are a few pictures of J. Lo and her mom having a little chat on the balcony of their hotel room in Tenerife, Spain:

Aren't they just the cutest little family? [Source]
Robbie Williams is jaunting all over the world to promote his new album Rudebox. Here are pictures of Robbie getting in a little game of soocer (or futebol) down in Rio:

Um ... does he always travel with a soccer jersey emblazoned with his name on the back? I think maybe he's in the wrong business. [Source]
Pink reader Jamie sent in this great picture of Kid Rock chillin' with the hometown crowd in Detroit at the Tigers game last Saturday (the game that secured the Tigers' spot in this year's World Series):

I love that Kid Rock was in town for the game. I hope that more Detroit celebs go back home to root on the Detroit Tigers as they make their way to become the 2006 World Series champs. Believe me, if I could go home to attend a game or two I deff would get my ass on a plane and fly home. They're gonna do it ... I just know it ... World Series Champs, baby! [thanks Jamie]
Lance Armstrong is on the cover of the new issue of Details magazine:

He looks really happy ... I wonder what he was thinking about to get that smile on his face? [Source]
Mischa Barton is on the cover of the new issue of UK Vogue ... and dare I say ... she looks pretty damn good in the accompanying photospread:

The sweaters look hot on her ... I love the green one. See, isn't stuff like this much more interesting than those damned leggings that are all the rage these days? [Source]
Sarah Michelle Gellar is on the cover of the new issue of UK Glamour and I'm not quite feeling the same love that I have for Mischa's photos:

The cover looks very unfortunate ... I think it's her hair. I love SMG but these pics look like boo-boo-boo. [Source]
Check out a few of the official posters for the soon-to-be released movie Dreamgirls:

There is so much Oscar buzz going around for this movie that I'm not even gonna go there ... yet. I like the posters tho ... Beyonce looks great as her Diana Ross-like character. Eddie Murphy looks pretty good as his Ike Turner-like character too. I have a feeling that this movie is going to be enormous. [Source]
Not quite as exciting is the poster artwork for the new Jake Gyllenhaal movie Zodiac:

C'mon ... no shirtless photo of Jake for the poster? How are they going to get people interested in this film? I keed, I keed ... David Fincher is an amazing director (little known fact, he got his start by directing Paula Abdul videos) and I'm deff gonna check out this movie ... hopefully there will be some shirtless Jake action as a special added bonus. [Source]

Be My Baby Tonight

LOL! Of course whole thing was staged, hell, it even looked staged (would K-Fed really come out trash-talking like that in real life?) but it was funny as hell to watch. Thanks to all the WWE fans out there who have me the head's up to watch last night. If you missed the show last night, or just want to watch The Federline get tossed around like a little girl then you can watch video from the show HERE or HERE on YouTube. [Source]
Incidentally, Pink reader Ant was at the actual show taping on Sunday night and sends in these pictures from the event:

Ant writes: Last night I took my son to the WWE show at Staples Center and it turned out Kevin Federline of all people showed up. He did a bit where he egged the crowd on in hating him and then the WWE champ, John Cena, ended up freestyling about him after KFed asked the crowd if we wanted to hear his first single...then said, go buy the album October 31st. Then Cena told him "You don't have the balls to hit me, if Kevin wasn't here I'd be spearing Britney". In the end Kevin got beat up and the crowd ate it up. Everybody hated him. It'll be on Monday night on channel usa. Steve-O and Chris Pontius from jackass and Aaron Carter/Nick Carter were there also and were involved in other bits. I gotta admit ... I'm a little jealous I wasn't able to watch this shizz go down live. I guess that's what I get for not paying enough attention to the world of wrestling. [thanks Ant]
Madonna's new little bundle of joy has been brought out of Africa and has been flown to her waiting arms in London ... here are a few photos of Madonna's personal assistant transporting her new little baby boy David:

Madonna's personal assistant did her best to keep little Daniel hidden from sight ... [Source]
... but we are lucky enough to get a little peek at how cute he is! David is just mere moments away from becoming Madonna's third child:

David Banda arrived at London's Heathrow airport at about 6:20 a.m. aboard a British Airways 747 from Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. With him were one of Madonna's bodyguards and a female aide, described by the BBC as the singer's personal assistant, who upon arrival shielded the baby from photographers with a coat. Inside Heathrow, three armed police officers, along with airline and airport officials, escorted the party to the baggage-claim area, an observer tells PEOPLE. Some 10 minutes later, the group was led out through a back door, where they boarded a silver Mercedes SUV and drove away. The baby's name is David Banda but is he now going to be known as Daniel Ciccone Ritchie? Well, if the opponents of this adoption have their way the adoption won't go thru at all: Madonna could face a criminal investigation in Britain over the African boy she wants to adopt ... Children's charities in the southern African country objected to the speed at which the multi-millionaire star got the child. But it is the strict laws on assessing prospective adoptive parents in this country that could provide the biggest obstacle in her attempt to officially adopt him. The police could be called in ... Any breach could open up Madonna to criminal proceedings with a maximum jail sentence of a year or a large fine. The Adoption and Children Act 2002 makes it clear parents must be deemed fit to adopt before a child can come to the UK. Um, I think it's pretty safe to assume that everything will turn out fine for mother and adopted child. I can't wait to see the first photos of the full Ritchie family. [Source, Source]
Ryan Phillippe and wife Reese Witherspoon were

Actually, Ryan looks hotter when he's brooding. But, you know, you'd think they'd want to look happier at an event like this. [Source]
But looking happy was not a problem for either Lance Armstrong or Robert Downey, Jr. at the National Arts Awards in NYC last night ... mainly because they got to spend some time hanging out with Jake Gyllenhaal:

I think that Matthew McConaughey was not invited to this event because, well, he'd have to wear a shirt ... and prolly bathe. No worries tho -- Robert Downey, Jr. looked happy enough to fill in as Jake's other date. That Jake, he just can't be seen on the red carpet with just one dude. [Source, Source]
In other Gyllenhaal news, here is the first photo of Maggie Gyllenhaal (with her babydaddy Peter Sarsgaard) since giving birth to her first child Ramona:

I'm not exactly sure why Peter looks like a panhandler but Maggie looks great for having just given birth to her baby girl. I'm actually surprised that she has emerged so quickly after the birth ... I thought for sure she'd go underground and stay hidden for some time. We've yet to see pictures of the new baby so hopefully we'll get to see those soon ... maybe pics of Ramona and uncle Jake? [Source]
Katie Holmes is back in black (because I don't think she's allowed to wear anything else, actually) and it looks like she's ready to hop into the back of a hearse (even tho I know it's an SUV but I'm only making a joke). It also looks like Katie's got some mad love for the mom pants:

UGH ... those pants do nothing for her booty ... they only make her look like a 42-year old housewife. Ohh, I get it ... they were a gift from Tom Cruise. [Source]
Dustin Hoffman is trying to get attention from the paparazzi by pretending that he doesn't want attention from the paparazzi ...

... see how that works? It'd be easier if he just had a nip slip ... oh wait ... never mind ... the bag over the head works just fine. [Source]
Dita von Teese was the main attraction last night in London at the KOKO club's burlesque night ... here are a few photos from her sexy performance:

I don't know why but I'm utterly fascinated by Dita's performances. They're so sexy and interesting and not at all vulgar or gross. Click HERE to browse thru the gallery to see more pictures from her semi-NSFW performance. [Source]
TMZ has obtained a copy of the birth certificate of Dannielynn Hope Marshall, newborn daughter of Anna Nicole Smith, and right away I'm struck by a shocking error on the document:

No, it's not that Howard K. Stern (Anna's creepy-leechy lawyer) is listed as the baby's father (even tho the paternity of the child still has yet to be proven by DNA testing) ... the shocking thing is that Anna Nicole's occupation is listed as "Actress". On what planet is Anna Nicole Smith an actress? Does her miniscule role in Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult really count as acting? Boo! [Source]
Rachel Bilson and Victoria Beckham both have graced the cover of You magazine in recent weeks ... obviously, I think that Rachel wins hands down ... but who do you think looks better on the cover?

For me, flesh and blood wins out over silicone and collagen ... what do you think? [Source, Source]
ATTENTION: HEROES SPOILER ALERT WARNING
Woot! Heroes is getting so good ... even if the plotline is starting to get a little convoluted. The thing at the end of the episode with Hiro coming back to his past (our present) from the distant future to deliver a warning to Peter is gonna make things really interesting ... and confusing -- tho it should clue us in that New York doesn't get destroyed by the foreshadowed nuclear blast ... unless Hiro came from the future before the blast is to take place -- OY! See what I mean? Confusing!

The preview for next week's episode said a clue to the Heroes survival and success was "Save the cheerleader, Save the world". The first thing I thought was that little Hayden Panettiere has got herself some job security right there! I'm totally getting wrapped up in this show ... I might have to start doing recaps for this show too! [Source]
And finally, Pink reader Julie gave me the head's up that Reichen Lemkuhl guest starred on yesterday's episode of Days of our Lives. Since she saw it on the East Coast I was able to record it on the West Coast. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I think I was expecting his role to have more than 2 seconds of screen time ... alas, it wasn't to be ... here are a few screencaps from his appearance:

Seriously ... he was on the screen for about 2 seconds (barely enough time to snap screencaps) and he didn't even have a single line. Someone asked him for a drink and he nodded ... that was it. Hee hee ... you'd think his boyfriend Lance Bass could get him better gigs than that. [thanks Julie]

Party Time, Excellent

I'm not exactly sure what their appearances will entail ... I cannot for the life of me imagine that they would be foolish enough to get into the ring with professional wrestlers even if it's all "fake" ... tho, it would be pretty funny to see K-Fed get thrown around a bit like a rag doll. I might have to tune in just in case that does happen. The show airs tonight at 9pm on the USA Network. [Source, thanks Dee]
Last night, Patti Smith bid adieu to the world famous music club CBGBs in New York City. The club officially closes its doors on October 31st but the send-off concert, the last ever at CBGBs, happened last night:

The final chords reverberated off the black, sticker-covered walls of CBGB as the grungy, iconic club toasted the end of its 33-year residence in New York. Rock poet Patti Smith headlined the Sunday night concert, CBGB's last before eviction by its landlord the Bowery Residents Committee, a homeless advocacy group that owns the property. The club will close Oct. 31. Hundreds of music fans packed the small downtown club Sunday, while reporters hovered outside. The mood was both somber and raucous at CBGB, hailed by many as the birthplace of punk. "This place is not a ... temple," Smith said during the concert. "It is what it is." She refused to wax nostalgic, instead claiming at a pre-show news conference that doubled as a sound check that "CBGB's is a state of mind" that will carry on elsewhere for a new generation. She later noted with relish that CBGB, at 33, was the same age as Jesus. Even tho the club will be moving to Las Vegas (!!!), I still think it'll be a sad day for music when CBGBs closes it doors at the end of this month. It's kinda sad to think that pretty soon the only thing that will note the existence of CBGBs in NYC will be a plaque ... or maybe there won't be any reminder at all. [Source, Source]
Lindsay Lohan really knows how to have a good time ... that is, until someone comes up to her and tricks her into signing court papers on the red carpet, in front of photographers, on her way into a party -- then she's really no fun at all:

Lindsay Lohan attended the 21st Annual American Cinematheque Award Honoring George Clooney last night. Everyone was there including Julia Roberts. On her way out Lindsay was served legal papers subpoenaing her to appear in court. Standing right behind Lindsay, Rumer Willis got to watch the whole thing. Here's what happened. A woman came over and Lindsay thought she was asking for an autograph. According to our photographer, Lindsay said, "You're my first autograph". The woman replied, "You've been served!" Lindsay immediately dropped the papers to run after the process server. Lindsay was pissed! According to Antonio Almeida the lawsuit is for Lindsay's mom, Dina Lohan. She is being sued by producers Antonio Almeida and Mitchell Chait for tens of thousands of dollars for violation of contract, fraud, theft, and other violations. OUCH! How horribly embarrassing! Anyways, if you're interested you can click HERE to see more pictures of Lindsay receiving her subpoena. LOL! [Source, thanks Susan]
See ... you'd think that getting served right there on the red carpet would really just ruin your night ... but that is not the case for our fave partygirl Lindsay Lohan ... she brushed herself off, grabbed her new little sidekick Rumer Willis and made her way into the Cinematheque Award ceremony:

Hmm ... it looks like these two have become fast friends. It's so nice of Lindsay to take little Rumer under her wing in order to show her the ropes on how to be a Hollywood "It" Girl (tho, she might want to leave out that part about getting sued -- it's so unsavory). You know they have to be super BFF because they're even starting to dress alike. I can't believe that Lindsay got Rumer to wear that awful figure skater outfit! Oh I get it ... maybe they're starring in the Ice Capades together. [Source]
Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and their cadre of kids are taking their whirlwind tour to all reaches of the Eastern world ... here are photos of Brangelina making their way thru an airport in Goa, India:

I bet they're in town looking for more paparazzi to beat up and threaten as they shop around for new kids to adopt. Don't the rich and famous live such interesting lives? [Source]
Michelle Trachtenberg turned a very legal 21 years old last week but saved her celebratory party until this past weekend ... here are photos of Michelle whooping it up at Tao nightclub in Las Vegas on Saturday night:

Wait, is she wearing lingerie at her own birthday party? Yep, the Grey Goose definitely got the girl feelin' loose. Happy Birthday, once again, Michelle! [Source]
Not to be outdone by the likes of Michelle Trachtenberg, a few little Laguna Beachers recently convened to throw a little party of their own. Nikki, who is featured in the current season of Laguna Beach: The Real OC (tho she is not a main character), gathered together a few of her closest friends for a little party ... she make sure to have all the necessary refreshments on hand -- you know, the chips, the dip, the Coke:

I'm not sure which of these geniuses thought it would be a good idea to photograph this event AND THEN POST THE PICTURES ON MY SPACE but I'm willing to guess it was the bright idea of the hostess Nikki. Nikki's My Space has been locked down to PRIVATE but you can head over to the Laguna Lovers messageboard to see all the pictures from this little party. [Source]
Good Charlotte brought their current club tour to NYC over the weekend and then Joel, Benji and co. proceeded to have themselves a little after party ... here are a few pics:

Head on over to Last Night's Party for lots of photos from their show and more after party pics. [Source]
And the partyin' just won't stop ... it looks like the beloved Disneyland characters are out to prove that they can throw down with the best of them ... they won't be outdone by no damn kids from Laguna Beach ... here are a few screencaps from a shocking video of a bunch of Disney characters getting their freak on backstage at Disneyland Paris:

RANDY pooch Goofy is seen ROMPING with Minnie Mouse in a Disney video that's definitely not meant for family viewing. The costumed characters simulate sex in an illicit clip shot at a theme park and circulated on the internet. The hilarious footage even shows kids' favourite Mickey Mouse in a GAY clinch with a snowman. Minutes after the backstage frolics, the characters go out to perform their regular Disney routine in front of hundreds of kids. An insider said last night: "It's Disney characters as you've never seen them before. Goofy grabs Minnie's boobs but the highlight has to be Mickey's gay romp." The incredible "orgy" is given an added bizarre touch by the characters' constant fixed grins. It begins with cartoon dog Goofy GRABBING Minnie from behind and pretending to have sex with her. She pulls herself away, but is then CORNERED for more fake sex with the giant snowman. Then Mickey gets friendly with the snowman -- and the gay action continues with Goofy having a steamy CLINCH with cartoon chipmunks Chip 'n' Dale. Finally, the horny hound CUPS Minnie's boobs. The 2 1/2-minute clip is believed to have been shot by another character or worker with a concealed camera at Disneyland Resort Paris. LOL! But, don't think for a moment that this sort of behavior is restricted to Disneyland Paris ... I have a friend who used to work at Disney World in Florida and he has many, many stories about all the wild parties that go on behind the scenes. And, to be fair, this video doesn't really show anything raunchy at all ... at best, it looks like the characters are hugging one another ... well, from behind but there isn't anything that shocking at all. Click HERE to watch the video on YouTube -- it's perfect for sharing with friends.[Source]
It's pretty common knowledge that David Beckham is the posterboy for Metrosexuals the world over ... but it looks like Cristiano Ronaldo is looking to steal away Becks' crown as the King of the Metrosexuals:

Er ... or maybe I should say Queen of the Metrosexuals? Hey, when you start matching your purse with your snakeskin belt, you know you're deffo the man. [Source]
Speaking of Becksie ... my good friend Cara at People.com wrote a great little article on man cleavage and the overall state of open shirts on guys. Personally, I see nothing wrong with the practice ... so long as it's not abused:

More terrifying than anything Halloween has to offer. . .it's out there, and it's coming to get you. Man-cleavage! Aahhhh!! Ok. Maybe man-cleavage (he-vage?) isn't horor movie material, but seriously, what is up with the onslaught of celebrity men airing out their breastplates? Unless they're on stage with a guitar, it just looks more lounge-singer than rock god. I understand unbuttoning the top button. I can even forgive the second button coming undone. But for the good of my retinas, that third button must stay closed! David Beckham is like the only guy who can definitely pull off this look ... Joey Lawrence cannot (altho, Joey's scary eyebrows tend to draw the eye away from his open shirt). I gotta agree with Cara, tho, if you feel the need to undo the third button, you might as well take off the shirt altogether. Hear that, Becks? [Source]
And finally, Matthew Fox is on the cover of the new issue of UK Cosmopolitan magazine:

And while his character on Lost is really starting to bug me, I promise not to hold it against him. He's far too dreamy to get too mad at. [Source]

Okay ... I only had a vague idea of what Shortbus was about so I was very surprised by the movie over all. You know you're in for an interesting movie when one of the main characters autofellates himself in the first 5 minutes. I had no idea the movie was NC-17, nor was I prepared for all the nekkidness (and there is a lot of nekkidness) but once I got over the shock I found that I really enjoyed myself. If you get past all the sex, you still have a very funny and oftentimes poignant movie that is happy and sad at times. Writer/director John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Inch) crafted a sexually graphic tale that really pulls at the heartstrings -- as hard to imagine as that sounds. I can assure you, this movie is not for everyone ... the sex scenes are very graphic (they show everything ... erect penises, vaginal penetration, etc.) but the plot isn't merely about the sex. You actually care for the characters and begin to root for them in the end. I really enjoyed the movie. Head on over to the Shortbus official website to watch an uncensored trailer that will give you a feel for the movie. You must register at the site and declare that you are over 18 years old to view the trailer. Enjoy!
I guess that's it ... I'm out.
