Originally posted January 31st: The National Enquirer reports that actress Sara Gilbert, 32, and her longtime partner Allison Adler are expecting their second child. The new baby will join big brother Levi Hank, 2. This time around, it's Sara who is pregnant - Allison had carried Levi.
A friend of the couple says, "Sara and Allison have always planned on having two kids. Sara's already a wonderful mom but she feels the experience of giving birth will make her life complete."

This past Monday's episode of The View was dedicated to discussing autism, which affects 1 in 166 children. The guest host on the show was singer Toni Braxton, who's son Diezel, 3 1/2, was diagnosed with PDD-NOS (pervasive developmental disorder - not otherwise specified) last fall. PDD-NOS is the classification often given to children under age 5 who are displaying signs of a pervasive developmental disorder, of which autism is the most severe. Diezel's case is on the milder side.
Last October, Toni was angry at his doctors, saying,"They dismissed me. I don't know if it would have made a difference or not for him to be diagnosed earlier, but they had a 'wait and see' attitude. It makes me so angry because a mother knows when something is wrong with her child."
However, Toni showed a much softer side on The View on Monday, when she broke down crying while discussing Diezel's symptons. She said, "No eye contact, he didn't play along with his brother [Denim, 5], he played to the side. All the kids would be in the house - he would be away from them. He had to have an order. Always an order. Had to eat on the red plate, with the Mickey Mouse fork. Everything had to be in order. He had to sit on the left side, always.
I get all emotional. I just found out...so, when you're just finding out something it takes a second to get used to it...everyone has been so helpful to me."

Although they are currently divorcing, former celebrity couple, Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe put their differences aside this week to attend their daughter Ava's, 7, school play. The couple arrived separately (Reese had son, Deacon, 3 in tow) to see Ava perform as a kangaroo and then left separately.

Princess Mary showed off her baby bump and her new hair do when she visited the Copenhagen City Museum where she recieved a donation on behalf of a children's charity. The princess, married to Prince Frederik of Denmark, is expecting the couple's second child in May. Their son Prince Christian is 15 months.

On getting to know her daughter: "I've really enjoyed this time that I have taken to be with Suri as well as the challenges of the first couple of months: feeding and pumping, learning to decipher what each cry means-is she hungry? NBA star, Latrell Sprewell, most recently with the Minnesota Timberwolves, is being sued by the mother of his four children. Candace Cabbil, Latrell's baby-mama says the ball player broke a long term "cohabitation" agreement the two made in 1989 when they first met, stating that Latrell would share his life and fortune with her.
This suit in effect involves and affects the couple's four kids, ages 3, 7, 8, and 11.
Candace says the star recently got rough with her in their N.Y., home, as well as has been giving her less money for their children and other household expenses and becoming less involved in their family. She also alleges that Latrell has a 16-year-old child with another woman, that she has had to take guardianship over.
Candace says she had to quit her own job, in a hospital, after having their first child and was promised that she would not have to worry about being taken care of, despite not getting married or putting her name on the lease of their $3 million home.

Tori Spelling will have plenty of places to store leftover mashed peas and carrots for her son when he arrives. The 33-year-old actress and her husband Dean McDermott, 40, are throwing a baby shower that's hosted by none other than Tupperware.
"Tupperware said they're big fans of Tori's, so they wanted to do this," a friend says.
The shindig, labeled a couple's shower, will gather men and women alike for drinks and appetizers within the next week at a Los Angeles café. One person who won't be there though is Tori's estranged mother Candy. However, her So noTORIous TV mom Loni Anderson will be present.
Tori is due Mar. 28.

20/20 anchor Elizabeth Vargas appeared on Tuesday's episode of Oprah, titled "My Baby or My Job," to discuss the challenges of being a working mother and to refute rumors that she was asked to step down as World News Tonight news anchor. Elizabeth, 44, says she ultimately decided to vacate the coveted position, a job she had worked 20 years to obtain, to focus on her family. "It was a very difficult, excruciating decision, and I still have a lot of doubt and anguish over whether it was the right decision. I believe it was, but it was so hard to walk away from that."
Elizabeth landed the gig as co-anchor alongside Bob Woodruff last January. The job required them to cover stories from all corners of the world, which sat well with Elizabeth until Bob was seriously injured in a roadside bombing in Iraq and she discovered she was unexpectedly pregnant with her second child.
While Bob recovered, Elizabeth continued as the sole anchor, but soon started having second thoughts about the severely demanding yet greatly esteemed job, especially with another baby on the way. "When news breaks anywhere in the world, you have to hop on a plane and go there. I love that, but I felt like, 'How am I going to do that with a newborn infant? It was hard for me getting to Chicago with my breast pump and all my breast milk bottles. How am I going to go to the Middle East the next time something happens?'"
Elizabeth stomached a lot of scrutiny for her departure from such a high-profile, male-dominated position, inciting protests from NOW that suggested she was forced to leave for being pregnant. She debunks the rumor and defends her decision, stating it was difficult for her to juggle her career with her family. "I think feminism means we all get that chance to make our choice. And if it just isn't right for me, it isn't right for me. For me it just wasn't working," she says.
After her maternity leave, Elizabeth assumed a co-anchor seat at 20/20. Since the newsmagazine is a weekly show rather than a daily, the job is much less demanding, more flexible and better-suited for her situation as a career woman and mother. Still, it doesn't dilute the adversities she faces as a working mother. "I wish I could do it all, but that's not physically possible. I have a sleepless night every night. I wake up at two o'clock and worry: Am I being a good enough mother? Was 20/20 going to be a good show? Should I have done more? Should I have been at the school play? I leave early in the morning and I get home at dinnertime and no matter how many times you ask your 4-year-old, 'How was your day?' you know you're aware of the fact that you've missed 98 percent of their day because you've been at work."
Elizabeth is married to songwriter Marc Cohn, 47. They have two sons, Zachary, who turns 4 on Wednesday, and Samuel, 5 months. Also featured on the show was a roundtable discussion with other working mothers.

Olympic gold medalist Jennie Finch updated her Web site recently with a new journal entry and a photo of her nearly 9-month old son Ace cradled in the arms of a Japanese softball team. The softball pitcher writes that Ace joined her for USA training camp earlier this month and is growing into quite the little person. "He is waving Bye-Bye, giving High Fives, smacking his lips, shouting Mama, standing, walking around all objects, and pulling himself up on everything. It was time to Baby Proof the house! He is just a joy and we are so truly blessed. He is so much fun, we are enjoying every second of him!!! He is definitely our 'Ace.' "
Jennie, 26, also mentions that she and her husband, Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Casey Daigle, 25, are searching long and hard for a baby life vest for Ace so they can take him on their brand new fishing boat.
Jennie and Casey just celebrated their two-year anniversary on Jan. 15.

Heidi Klum spoke to Us Weekly at the Golden Globe awards, which she attended with her husband Seal. who was nominated for his song A Father's Way. So, how's life with 3 under 3 (Leni, 2 1/2, Henry, 16 months, and Johan, 2 months)? Easier than the last time around, says Heidi. "It gets easier because you know more about what's happening. Johan is an extremely easy child. Henry was a little colicky, so this one is really easy."
However, that doesn't mean she and Seal are getting to work on a fourth - not yet, anyway. "I think [three is enough for now]...but you never know," says Heidi.

Reality TV couple Rob Mariano, 31, and Amber Brkich, 28, have been busy with various reality shows since they've met and gotten hitched, but they still have parenthood on their minds. Rob and Amber told OK! Magazine that they constantly think about starting a family, and while they are not planning to have a baby right now, they think it is going to be very soon. Amber tells the magazine that waiting to start a family has made them even closer. She says, "I think it's important when you get married to make your marriage as solid as possible before you introduce other family members."
The couple, who met on Survivor: All Stars, has appeared in various reality shows, including The Amazing Race and even had their own wedding turned into a TV special in April 2005. Rob and Amber can now be seen on their new Fox reality show, Rob and Amber: Against the Odds, which follows the couple as Rob strives to become a professional poker player.

Boston Legal and Lost guest Julie Bowen, 37, is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her first child in April. As previously reported, the couple has decided not to find out the sex of the baby before the delivery - but that hasn't stopped them from going wild with name choices. The sex, "is going to be a big surprise," but "I like these horrible [names]! Everybody's like, 'You can't name your child Sugar! But I have a very preppy family, so it will be something really staid and boring in the end."
Still, pregnancy hasn't been all laughs for Julie - she's grumpy! "[Scott's] been amazing," says Julie of her husband. "Putting up with me is not easy, because I'm a little moody."

New York City on Monday. 
Also shielded from public view, snugged in gloves, are Heath's hands. Heath was reportedly seen wearing a wedding band last week, triggering rumors that the couple had tied the knot. But so far, the two aren't saying - or showing - anything.
Heath and Michelle met on the set of Brokeback Mountain in 2004 and have been engaged since 2005.

Extra host Dayna Devon, 36, and her plastic surgeon husband Brent Moelleken welcomed their second child, son Cole Brent, on Friday, January 5th. He joins big sister Emmi Reese, 16 months. This week, they introduce him in Us Weekly! Highlights from the interview:
Two weeks early: Cole was delivered early because of Dayna's excessive amniotic fluid. He had fluid in his lungs that required a short stay in the NICU.
Time flies: "I look back and Emmi seems like she was this age for a second. So now you just enjoy every little thing you do."
The best naps: "I curl my body around Cole's and he loves it."
Postpartum eats: "We had sushi the other night because I couldn't have it when I was pregnant!"

Mark Wahlberg may have just scored an Oscar nomination for his supporting turn in The Departed, but the 35-year-old insists he's more focused on being a good father than a good actor. "I want to perfect parenthood," he says.
The father of two also reveals that his children, daughter Ella Rae, 3, and son Michael, 10 months, have an affectionate and apparently very tight bond.

On she and Gavin having a child: "Having Kingston has been the most romantic thing to have happened to us."
On being pregnant and famous: "It was weird being pregnant in a fishbowl situation. Especially on days when you feel really fat and disgusting and not cute. Pregnancy was challenging in a way I didn't expect. I was on tour and I was so sick. It was like PMS times a million."
TV show choices while pregnant: "I enjoy a great [plastic] surgery TV show as much as anyone -- I watched a lot of those shows while I was pregnant! But it's pretty bizarre that that's where we're at -- that you can place an order for how you're going to look. People take it pretty lightly, but it's a big deal. I've thought it over but I'm not at that stage yet."

Heidi Klum and Seal like to hang around naked in their home - literally. According to the New York Daily News, the couple has nude family portraits proudly displayed in their Los Angeles abode. A friend of the duo is quoted as saying, "There are big, naked portraits of them with the kids. They are tasteful, but, you know, confronting."
The shots only include a quartet of their five-member clan as they were taken before Heidi became pregnant with their newest addition, Johan, who was born in November. Maybe they'll snap new ones soon? Heidi and Seal have been married since May 2005. They also have a daughter, Leni, 2 1/2, and another son, Henry, 16 months.

Trot Nixon wanted to make sure that his son Chase was involved in regards to his signing with the Cleveland Indians, so he asked the five-year-old to pick out his new team number.
Chase originally picked the number 32 because that is his dad's current age but once the outfielder reminded his son that he would be turning 33 in a few months, he promptly changed his mind.
"It's kind of cool, too," said Trot, "because 33 was my high school baseball number."
Trot and his wife, Kathryn, also have a two-year-old son, Luke.

Comedian and Mind of Mencia star Carlos Mencia, 39, and his wife Amy welcomed their first child over the holidays. Carlos announced the birth of a baby boy on his MySpace blog, but gave no details except to say, "The poor kid has to live with me from now on!" Carlos and Amy have been married for 10 years.

Kelvin Cato, backup center for the New York Knicks, has found out that his 6-year-old son was living in a filthy, urine soaked apartment and is now seeking full custody from the boy's mother.
Although his baby's mom, 36-year-old Jennifer Gaines, was arrested in June 2006 after Portland police discovered the home's condition, Kelvin says he had no idea that his son was living in such a poor situation.
"We had no knowledge of the living conditions whatsoever," said Kelvin's mom, Carolyn.
Jennifer was convicted of child mistreatment and animal neglect last week.
Police say Kelvin's son was covered in flea bites and that the apartment had more than 30 cats living there. "It was unsafe for the [child] to spend another minute inside of the residence," the officer wrote. "The odor was so overwhelming that I almost vomited."
"He just doesn't want his little boy to be stuck in this mess," said Kelvin's lawyer, Gary Bullock.

Coco Arquette, 2 1/2, was snapped getting her groove on while dad David laughed at the Lakers game on Sunday night.
A CBB reader who was there sends us this sighting, "Just got back from the LA Lakers game sitting a few rows up from the court. David Arquette was there with his daughter Coco and a friend with his daughter. The girls were about the same age and danced on the sidelines during breaks and when the teams were on the opposite side of the court. Coco was mesmorized by the Laker Girls - she was dancing, clapping and spinning while they were dancing and staring at them while they were sitting on the side lines (right next to them) during the game. She's just adorable and seems to be a bit sassy."

Actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley and her country-star husband Brad are expecting their first child in the next few weeks. Before the baby makes it's February debut, (Kimberly plans to give birth in Nashville), she posed for Pregnancy Magazine and discussed her pregnancy tips with fans.
Favorite pregnancy books: Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy - Or Everything Your Doctor Won't Tell You and What to Expect When You're Expecting.
Craving: Oranges.
Best buy: A body pillow. Kimberly says, "A key to getting great sleep. I love the ones that wrap around and twist like pretzels so you can manipulate them as you need them and as your body changes."
How to prevent heartburn: "Papaya enzymes. A key to preventing heartburn. Pop a few after each meal. I also have noticed a little extra daily magnesium works really well, as well as digestive enzymes taken with the first bite of every big meal. Ask your doctor about it."
How to stop leg cramps: "Soap in the bed. Weird, I know, but someone told me putting a bar of soap in the bed would help stop leg cramps and I've noticed some nights that it actually does!"
On her Pregnancy Magazine cover dress: "On the cover, I'm wearing a dress that was designed for me by my costume designer on According to Jim, Bernadene Morgan. She's very talented. We had to adjust it every week as we built the dress because I was changing and growing so much!"

All My Children's Thorsten Kaye, 40, and his longtime partner, former One Life to Live star Susan Haskell, 38, welcomed their second child on Sunday, January 28th. Daughter Marlowe Marann made her debut at 9:38 pm, weighing in at 5 lbs, 8 oz.
After an original report of an April due date, it became March 1st and was then re-scheduled for February 16th. Despite this, Marlowe arrived even earlier! She joins big sister McKenna, 3 1/2.

Soccer star Mia Hamm, who's six months pregnant with twins, and her husband, Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman, Nomar Garciaparra, literally kicked off their "9 to 5" bone marrow donor and cancer research program on Sunday at Nomar's old high school, St. John Bosco, in Bellflower, Calif.
After playing soccer with some of the children who have benefited from the program - which Mia created after losing her brother Garrett to aplastic anemia in 1997 - she joked that she wasn't in the best shape for a game at the moment. "It's been a while. Some things definitely have changed. I've put on a little weight."
The twins, due in mid-April, are already showing some athletic abilities, but Mia, 34, cannot pinpoint which parent they're taking after yet. "I can feel some kicks. I can't decide whether that's like me or like Nomar's fidgeting when he's playing baseball." One thing's for sure though - they won't force either sport onto their children. Whatever they play "will be entirely up to them," Nomar, 33, said.
Mia and Nomar have been married for three years. Mia retired from professional soccer in 2004. During halftime at her final game that December, she switched jerseys, exchanging her "Hamm" one for another that read "Garciaparra."

Actor Hugh Jackman spoke to Sunday Life magazine for this week's issue, on such topics as his work, fatherhood and adoption. Hugh and wife, Deborra-Lee Furness have two adopted children, Oscar, 5 and Ava, 18 months. Some highlights include:
Deborra-Lee is the SAHM and they travel with daddy!
Despite having her own career, Deborra-Lee and the children follow Hugh to locations for filming. This means that Hugh never has to be away from the kids for more than two weeks. Deborra-Lee has only acted in one film, Jindabyne, which had great raves last year, since Oscar's arrival.
On their plans for children.
The couple were "present at his [Oscar's] birth and his biological mother even came to live with them for a time." They then adopted Ava in 2005. The couple have said however, even if they could have had children they still would have adopted; "we still wanted to adopt. That was out plan: we'll have two and we'll adopt one. Anyway we didn't have children. We tried and that was tough. But the moment Oscar arrived, it just felt like he was always meant to come that way. I forget he's adopted; he's just my son."
On hectic times at home.
Jackman has said now that they have two children, times at home get hectic, but they feel "more natural." Deb worries sometimes; "Deb, who is an only child, gets increasingly freaked out...but the more there's chaos, mess, noise, the more I start t feel, 'Ah, this is how it's meant to be!'"

Anna Nicole Smith's possible baby's daddy, Larry Birkhead, is reportedly in the Bahamas to ensure that he and Anna's daughter, Dannielynn Hope , are DNA tested for paternity. Perez Hilton is reporting that a source told him that the photographer flew down to the island where Anna lives with the baby and her "husband" Howard K. Stern. Larry is said to have reported to the local police, giving a deposition, before going to visit the grave of Anna's son, Daniel.
Anna was given a deadline, by a California judge, to submit Dannielynn to a DNA test. Anna says that her life partner Howard is Dannielynn's father, not her ex, Larry.

With a busy career as a journalist (including last year's one-on-one with Angelina Jolie), Ann Curry is well aware of the challenges faced by working moms.

Journalist Ashleigh Banfield, 39, once traveled the world for her job - but she says motherhood is where her heart is now. She and her husband, businessman Howard Gould, have a 15-month-old son Jay Fischer and are expecting their second son this May.
When asked if she misses the whirlwind days as a reporter, Ashleigh says that the adventures of motherhood are the most rewarding.
"Fischer is magic. No amount of traipsing through Baghdad or Afghanistan can give me what he gives me."
As for how she says fit while pregnant, Ashleigh says it's keeping a balance. "I don't arduously exercise, but I try to say as mobile as possible. I'm really enjoying fruit, and normally I don't. Thank goodness - the alternative would be Snickers and Haagen-Daaz!"
Ashleigh now works as an anchor for Court TV. She and her family recently moved from NYC to a home in the suburbs.

New York Knicks star Stephon Marbury is one of the best players in the NBA - but off-the-court, he relishes in being a dad. He and his wife La Tasha Frieson have their hands full with three kids - Stephanie, 12, Xaviera, 7, and Stephon II, 3.
According to Stephon, it's the little things that make his home life so special - from family vacations to Six Flags in Atlanta or dinners at Chuck E. Cheese.
"I feel like Super Dad every time I take my kids to Chuck E. Cheese's, because it's their favorite place in the world!"
When asked about discipline, he says that for the most part, his kids stay on the straight and narrow.
"When it comes to discipline, I'm strict, but a sucker, too. My wife and I are lucky. Our girls are good. If we don't do something, they won't do it. My son, however, is a little terror. Every 10 seconds it's 'Stephon, don't do that! Stephon, put that down!' But I cave in all the time by giving him sweets. I can't help it - he's too cute!"
Stephon also acknowledged that his kids have more than he did when he was growing up - but he is determined to keep them grounded and raise them well.
"The most important lesson I want to tach my kids is that I'm going to support them in whatever they do, just like my mom did with me. I'm living proff that if you work hard enough at something you love, you can succeed."

A little more than a month after giving birth to their twin daughters, Media Take Out has a photo of Kim Porter looking fabulous, alongside P. Diddy at the Jamie Foxx/Fantasia concert in NYC last week. The couple welcomed their baby girls, D'Lila Star and Jessie James, on December 21st.

Former Formula One driver Juan Pablo Montoya and his 21-month-old son, Sebastian, were photographed together at a news conference on Friday, Jan. 26 in Daytona, Florida. The 31-year-old is currently pursuing a racing career in the NASCAR Nextel Series.
