This plugin generates an alphabetical listing of your WordPress categories in multiple columns. You can choose the number of columns to display, with an option to split up the list of categories by letter. It also supports the use of a custom header to help separate the categories. For example, you could have it say ‘Topics: A’ and then list the topics that start with ‘A’, etc. The category list can easily be added to any post or page with the trigger text, or called directly from a template file. This plugin will show the last X posts from the current category at the bottom of every post, or where you manually specify in each post. Using the built-in options page, you can choose the number of posts to show, set the header text, choose to show the post dates, select the format of the date, and choose whether or not to include the current post in the list. This web-based utility converts BBCode to HTML. The most common use for a utility like this is to easily convert forum posts using BBCode to standard HTML for use in traditional web pages. This utility currently supports all of the BBCode tags used by phpBB and a list of these tags can be found below. Unlike some convertors, this will generate proper paragraph tags (instead of just using a lot of line breaks), and takes advantage of CSS declarations for font sizes, colors, and more (as opposed to their depreciated HTML tag counterparts). This is the latest version of my secure PHP guestbook script. A lot of new features have been added since the last release including support for entry moderation, separate configuration and language files, improved code and session handling, and much more. The purpose of this script is to provide an easy to use, yet secure guestbook which features image verification to keep out spam bots as well as other security measures. It uses a flat-file storage method so that it will work for users without database access and contains many other features not found in most standard guestbook scripts. More »
After every post, this plugin will list other posts from the same day in different years. Based off the original OnThisDay hack, this plugin works on WordPress 2.x (and possibly 1.5.x - but it has not been tested yet). An incredible number of PHP-based contact form scripts can be found on the internet. Unfortunately almost all of them have serious security flaws. Many think that since the recipient’s address is hard-coded in the script, emails cannot be sent to other people. This is completely false. Unless your script is very secure, it is simple to inject alternate email headers into most contact forms. This means that your little mail script could be used to send out thousands of spam emails a day to random people. After looking at a lot of scripts, and not really being happy with any of them, I created my own. I added quite a lot of security checks, and even threw in an image-verification system to keep the bots away. I am now up to version 4, and a LOT has been added. More »
