Running into someone we like is always more pleasant than being near vile creatures like Rachel Zoe or Star Jones.

Thankfully for us, we met someone on Friday night at new Miami hotspot Mokai that we actually like (a lot) and who is very talented, Milo Ventimiglia.

And, not only is the Heroes hottie really nice, but he's also a Perezhilton.com reader! And that makes him so much hotter.

Milo was kickin' it with a crew of friends and his agents from CAA, who are having a party at the same venue on Saturday night.

Friday, though, Jeremy Piven and Kanye West held court, hosting a party for the film Smokin' Aces sponsored by Hennesey and Polaroid.

In typical Pivert fashion, Jeremy was smokin' a big fat cigar and chatting with several bimbos.

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo made quite an entrance with their entourage of at least a dozen people. They all made a big scene and held hands like grade-schoolers as their group was escorted to their table.

Earlier in the evening, Kevin Federline made an even bigger and more poorly received entrance at the Maxim magazine party at the Sagamore, dubbed "Hotel de Maxim" for the evening.

The soon-to-be former Mr. Britney Spears sprinted down the red carpet and refused to talk to any reporters.

Being the media whore that he is, Perez chatted with just about everyone. The only person that worked it harder than the Queen of All Media was Brooke Hogan, and we all know that tranny is even more desperate than Perezelle.

The Maxim event was an interesting study in social interaction, watching the sports figures interact with the celebrities and the models and a porn star (Stormy Daniels) or two.

A solo Tom Brady - Giselle must have been busy - mingled with our fellow Cubanito, baseball superstar Alex Rodriguez. And, thankfully, Brady didn't hide his pretty little face from the photogs on Friday night.

Joe Simpson was there and his thoughts - he told us - were with long-time famili friend Lane Garrison.

The beleaguered Prison Break star's parents both passed away when he was younger and he was practically raised by the Simpson family.

"Lane will do the right thing," said Papa Joe. "He'll do the right thing by the family [of the deceased]."

On the bright side, Simpson told us that he and his family were thrilled with daughter Jessica's relationship with rocker John Mayer.

The Maxim party featured a musical performance by Fergie, who sang her hits London Bridge and Fergalicious.

It was a predominantly boy's crowd, with such random guests as Andy Roddick, Ryan Cabrera, Steve-O, Pauley Shore, Mickey Rourke, Taye Diggs, Chris Isaak, Craig Ferguson, Jeff Gordon, Snoop, Paul Oakenfold, Taye Diggs, John Salley, Spike Lee, Jerry Bruckheimer, Cal Ripkin Jr, Terrel Owens, Matt Leinert, Reggie Bush, Marlon Wayans, Kid Rock, Ludacris and Jamie Foxx.

"It's great being a star at a Maxim party...because I'm sleazy," David Spade joked to Perez, when he came over to introduce himself.

There's truth in humor, though!

The newly single funnyman was definitely enjoying the attention from the ladies.

Spade and the Gossip Gangstar spent a good time talking about our mutual love and respect of Denise Richards and laughing our asses off at her coochie lips.

Kanye West is undoubtedly talented, but he needs to get his dick out of his mouth and put it back up his ass, where it belongs!

The Chicago rapper was nominated for a few MTV Europe Music Awards, held Thursday night in Copenhagen, and when he lost in the category for best video Kanye stormed the staged and unleashed a verbal tirade unbecoming of a gentleman.

As winners Justice and Simian collected their award for We Are Your Friends, West stole the spotlight and started screaming.

He yelled: "Fuck dis! (My video) cost a million dollars, Pamela Anderson was in it, I was jumping across canyons and shit! If I don't win, the awards show loses credibility. Nothing against you (Justice and Simian), but hell man."

It only got worse from there!

Even worse than his hubris was Kanye's ignorance.

He spouted, "I haven't seen (the Justice and Simian video). Possibly it could have been quite good but no way better than  Touch The Sky. That is complete bullshit, I paid a million. Obviously it's not all about the money, but the response it got transcended everything, it really made great TV. It took a month to film; I stood on a mountain; I flew a helicopter over Vegas. I did it to be the king of all videos and I wanted to walk home with that award."

Justin Timberlake, the awards show's host, maintained a sense of humor about West's unacceptable behavior, joking, "After the show, Kanye will be in the parking lot accepting awards he did not win. Seriously though, I've got sexy covered, it's good to see someone's doing crazy."

Before he ended his tirade, Kanye implored journalists "Please press people print 'Kanye says fuck that!'"

Love is blind! Kanye West gives Tom Cruise some lovin' on TRL earlier this week.

The MTV networks held their upfront presentations in NYC on Tuesday, where they announced their slate of new shows, and the stars were out in full force at the event, held at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

Who was there? Jerry Seinfeld, Stephen Colbert, John Stewart, Kanye West, Jamie Foxx, Sarah Silverman, Hulk Hogan, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and LC from Laguna Beach. Plus, PerezHilton.com had several spies in the hizouse, which told us all the juicy deets, like the very awkward moment backstage with Jessica Alba and the president of MTV, Judy McGrath.

"Jessica Alba is hot but dumb as rocks," reports one of our snoops. Alba was at the MTV Upfronts because she has just been tapped to host the MTV Movie Awards, airing in June.

"Jessica said the craziest shit," continues our mole. "I was so embarrassed for her."

What did she say?

"She was doing her little photo op backstage and she was talking to the photographers saying, 'So wow, MTV networks...lots of stations huh?'"

"Yeah, we have a lot!," the photographer told her.

"But then here's the really stupid part," our insider continues. "Judy McGrath, head of MTV networks, was standing RIGHT NEXT TO HER because she was taking photos with all the stars. Jessica seriously looks at the photographer and says 'So, who is the head of MTV Networks, Les Moonves?'"

Everyone backstage went silence.

Awkwardness.

"No one knew what to say," reports our snoop. "Judy finally kind of laughed and stepped in. LES MOONVES??? Bitch doesn't know shit! How wrong is that?? I seriously had to stifle a laugh. Jessica Alba seriously has to be some kind of retarded. EVERY star knew who Judy was. She was standing RIGHT NEXT to the photo op booth. My heart skipped a beat. I thought Jessica was going to get escorted out."

Alba wasn't the only one making some dumb moments.

LC from Laguna Beach also proved quite (unintentionally) entertaining.

"Bitch was MADE UP," one attendee snipes. "Tranny style! LC couldn't even read the teleprompter!"

LC was introducing MTV's "10 Spot" segment.

"Everyone got really nervous for her," quips a snoop. "We got to see some of her show, The Hills. It was just OK. Very Laguna-y without Kristen. So it kinda sucked. No one knew who she [LC] was."

We wish we could have been there.

It sounded like such an entertaining presentation!

Kanye West has just been added to the lineup for massive music festival Coachella, where Madonna is also scheduled to perform this weekend.

Kanye's addition comes as a very-last-minute surprise. The Grammy-winning rapper will take the stage Saturday night.

West's set is sandwiched between the one Common's expected to deliver between 4:55 p.m. and 5:45 p.m., andSigur Ros' performance, scheduled for 7 to 7:50 p.m.

Amping ourselves up for the Grammys tonight, we've been listening to Kanye on our iPod - random and repeat - and we stumbled upon a song we had mostly forgotten, My Baby, a collab with Janet Jackson off her last album, Damita Jo, which nobody except her hardcore fans - the gays - bought. However, it's a great song and definitely worth a listen!

Kanye West's legacy will be remembered not just for his music, but also for his outspokenness. His anti-Bush comments are still resonating across the country.

Performing last night at the NFL kick-off show (via remote from Los Angeles), West received an unwelcome response from the audience.

"The boos were thunderous and lasted for much of his number," reports the Boston Globe.

Meanwhile, Laura Bush is defending her husband, saying that he cares about Americans, be they black or white. So long as you're rich, he cares about you!

The criticisms against Kanye haven't hampered his success in any way, though. His new single, Gold Digger, has surpassed Mariah Carey's We Belong Together as the #1 song in the country, and West is even set to launch his own clothing company.
