This was submitted to us by Joshua Holmes of BumpShack.com - news of a future Celebrity Model, no doubt!
Megan Collins, 16-year-old from Baton Rouge won CosmoGIRL’s ‘So You Want To Be A Model’ contest.
Megan won the contest after being urged to submit to the contest by her Baton Rouge agent Ron Randell of Stage 2000
Megan comes from the same small modeling agency that got Joshua started and of course this is great P.R. for such a small agency.
For the record, Ron Randell also “discovered” Joshua Holmes, and helped Joshua create a career that let to him being an international model which led him to being in the pages of Cosmopolitan magazine twice and appearances on ‘Good Morning America’ and ‘Fox and Friends’ among other things

PAUL POTTS INTERVIEW FROM TODAY SHOW USA - 21ST JUNE 07
Only one more day until A Mighty Heart starring Angelina Jolie, Dan Futterman, Irrfan Khan, Will Patton and directed by Michael Winterbottom hits theaters across the USA.
Angelina Jolie plays the role of Mariane Pearl who’s husband Daniel was a Wall Street Journal reporter that was kidnapped and beheaded in Karachi, Pakistan in 2002 (more)
Below you can check out the TV Spot for A Mighty Heart
Then this is your chance to be a rock star…for one amazing night.
The chances are that by the time you read this, “The Opportunity” to attend will have expired (i.e. all tickets will have been sold) - but here at VIPGlamour.net we would never let that get in the way of a Good Story!
Rich Jerk who..? … I hear you say..
In the world of Internet Marketing there is a very famous “Celebrity” called The Rich Jerk (Real name: Kelly Felix )
(Yes, I know most of us here are not into Internet Marketing, but this is a CELEBRITY STORY - It really is, please bear with us)
Now I did not know this - but apparently there are ways of getting invited to a Party at The Playboy Mansion, other than being an A List Celeb and the Rich Jerk has found a way.
I warn you - these web pages may well not mean very much to you, if you are not someone who is into Internet and Affiliate Marketing - but if you are of a strong disposition, then the sales letter will amuse you if nothing else. Plus I’m sure it will give you an insight into what a Party at the Playboy Mansion might be like.
Legally, the Rich Jerk is prevented from telling us exactly which celebrities will be attending, but let’s just say these are people you’d NEVER be able to get close to in any other situation. Many celebrities need little excuse to hang out at the Playboy Mansion.
Oh by the way - The Rich Jerks Event is for Charity - apparantly he likes to help out losers…
There will be a silent auction of Hollywood and Internet Marketing memorabilia. And all proceeds will go directly to the charity. In addition, a large portion of ticket sales will also go to the charity.
Great News for that huge number of Paul Potts fans
Paul Potts the Britain’s Got Talent winner has signed a £1 million record deal with Simon Cowell.
And the 36 year old ex mobile phone salesman will start recording for Cowell’s Syco Music label as early as next week. The album will be out in approx., one month.
I guess that’s as soon as Paul completes all the Interviews and TV experiences he is doing this week.
Apparently Simon Cowell promised Potts a record deal on Britain’s Got Talent’s live final which he won with his rendition of Puccini’s ‘Nessun Dorma’.
What a Whirlwind - I bet Paul’s feet have not touched the Ground since winning the Britain’s Got Talent’s final
I hear he has been in New York today and returns to the UK this evening to start work on the Album on Saturday.
According to a Quote at Digital Spy
Potts said: “I’m over the moon - I can’t believe any of this. Simon’s been true to his word and this has given me the most amazing opportunity. None of this has sunk in yet.”

A GREAT Tyra Banks video - you will not forget this Mantra in a hurry!
Repeat after me: Squat, Pull Forward, Pee
Is this GROSS or is it just ADMINS wacky sense of humor?
This might just be a Guy thing, but the comment at YouTube that made me laugh the most was the one that said: I don’t have that problem, I never wear panties, anyway…
Special Note:
For those of you who emailed, worried that VIPGlamour.net was becoming the Paul Potts website - please do not worry - this is just a follow up email to Salute the Great Achievement of Paul Potts winning Britain’s Got Talent
I cannot say that this will be the last Paul Potts post - but lets just say, posts about Paul will not be almost daily from now on.
That said, I know that many people who had never been to VIPGlamour.net in their life before, visited last week, just because of Paul Potts.
Indeed our original Paul Potts post from Monday the 11th June 2007 currently has 215 Comments - which is a record for any post at VipGlamour.net
We thank you all for your comments.
What many of you may not know is that the poster of the original post - ADMIN, is in fact not a regular poster at VIPGlamour and it was to some extent a “fluke” that the person in the ADMIN role on the 11th June even decided to add the original post. After all, Paul Potts was not really a celebrity at that time and frankly, “a future opera star” was not what the VIPGlamour.net audience is usually used to. (There will be a little more feedback on ADMIN and the “story” of how the original post happened at the end of this post)
Anyway - This is a Salute To Paul Potts, Opera Star
To do that, we thought we would just repeat a few of the 300 + comments we have now received in response to our various Paul Potts posts.
It would be fair to say, there have been a few negative comments about Paul also - such as the very first comment by someone calling themselves ME,
who said “evident enthusiasm can’t replace raw vocal talent - this man hasn’t got it.”
Fortunately for Paul most of the viewers of Britains Got Talent and our many other posters did not agree.
We can only feature a few comments - and these comments are from all over the world, not just the UK, so I think it is fair to say, Paul made a GLOBAL IMPACT.
Very Well Done Again Paul Potts

I have never been an opera fan but I download every version of this song I could find so that I could listen to such a beautiful song but they all sucked. Paul adds the vary real human element that had been missing from the rest. “Relatabilty” he’s a real guy
and love it made me cry..I want to send him Money spectacular performance one of the best I have ever seen.
If it was perfect the point would not get across to the audience if your voice doesn’t cracle a bit. I wound not believe the passion and that was a million dollar performance.
Comment by gahrie
Pavarotti and the other tenors may be technically more proficient, but Potts brings something extra to his singing. An opera fan may sit there and catalogue his deficiencies, and prefer one of the “greats”, but to the average person who rarely if ever listens to opera, Potts is a rare treat. I can’t appreciate Pavarotti’s technical perfection. I don’t know enough about opera, or have a trained ear. To me, Pavarotti lacks emotion, a feeling for the music. He does what he does extremely well, but it leaves me flat. Potts emotes the music…..he evokes as he sings. If he is not technically perfect, I can’t tell the difference.
Given the choice to pay to hear Pavarotti or Potts, I’ll go for Potts every time. The opera buffs will go for Pavarotti, and thus we will both be satisfied.

I believe Marianne Williamson summed up the opportunity Paul has taken (and additionally quoted by Nelson Mandela in his inauguration address):
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
If only we all realised not only our true potential but the potential of others. Comments from people like “Me” serve only to justify hiding of their light and to hinder those less confident from letting their light shine.
Well done Paul, I look forward to seeing and hearing from you soon. You inspire me!

I first saw the video and heard Paul sing today on our morning news show here in Western Australia, now tell me that if they thought it was anything short of outstanding that it would have been played over here in OZ.
Comment by Wood4me
Must have played this half a dozen times. Then compared it to the “pros”. I cannot say if Paul has talent. All I can say is that I was enthralled by his performance. I even ran the video for my wife, (who finds it difficult to absorb opera). She stood and watched while I re-played it several times. Absorbed.
Soul piercing song. Goosebumps raising. Absolutely delightful. Chase your dream Paul. Never give it up. Mario Lanza would be proud of you.
When a goal is scored in English football, barely half the crowd stand up. This man had the whole audience at their feet, the male judges flabbergasted, and the female judge teary eyed.
To the naysayers I say - Your life will be the poorer for wishing to deprive this person of his joy.

I’m from Montréal, Canada. I saw on the news the performance from Paul Potts. Just amazing. Tell me how such a singer can sell cell. phone instead of showing is great gift is has with is voice. I just wish I can follow this show from my place. May be, he will not be the winner of this year competition but one thing for sure he will sing for leaving instead of selling telephone very soon. I hold a Masters degree in Music (my undergrad degree was in Music Education, my Masters in Performance). I have taught music for over 20 years.
That said, all you musical snobs who would turn your collective noses up to this gentleman (Mr. Paul Potts) can go listen to whatever you choose. You have lost sight of the essence of music: music, like the visual arts, exists, in part, to create an impression on its listeners’ souls. Clearly this performance has done that.
Are there more technical, more highly-trained singers? Of course. However, the Arts depend upon EMOTION, not perfection.
Take your snobbery somewhere else. I dedicated my life to Music because I love what it does for my soul. This performance makes me glad to have made that choice.

Paul Potts was brilliant and a refreshing change
I cried when he won and yes needless to say I voted for him and I will pay to see him perform any day goo Luck Paul and I am very proud of you
Comment by Adina
Luckily the complete joy that I felt from this beautiful performance was not spoiled in any way by an over-appreciation of opera.
Paul Potts moved me to tears in less than 30 seconds; no other opera singer (including Pavarotti singing Nessun Dorma) has ever done that. Paul Potts projects pure beauty in both spirit and voice.
Who is ADMIN? What is the “history” of the original post?
The original ADMIN post was by Barry Dunlop, Managing Director of Midascode Ltd, owners of the VIPGlamour.net website
JOHN TRAVOLTA TALKS ABOUT TOM CRUISE’S TIRADE AGAINST DRUGS, SCIENTOLOGY AND HIS SEXUALITY
John Travolta tells W magazine what he thinks about Tom Cruise’s tirade against psychiatric medication: “I don’t disagree with anything Tom says. How would I have presented it? Maybe differently than how he did, but it doesn’t matter. I still think that if you analyze most of the school shootings, it is not gun control. It is [psychotropic] drugs at the bottom of it. I don’t want to create controversy; I just have an opinion on things, and there is nothing wrong with stating your opinion if you are asked. Everyone wants that right, and because you are famous doesn’t mean you have less of a right.”
Other comments from John Travolta’s interview found in the July issue of W:
ON DRAWING A LINE BETWEEN HIS PUBLIC AND PRIVATE LIFE…“I have never felt compelled to share with you my bathroom habits or share with you my bedroom habits. Everyone has a right to privacy, so I have never felt—even though I am famous—that I had to share that with anybody.”
ON HOW HIS ROLE AS TONY MANERO IN SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER HELPED DEFINE THE DISCO DECADE…“I think I was the shift, directly or indirectly, from the Sixties to the Seventies. Even though it was not until 1977 that Saturday Night Fever came out, there wasn’t an identity to the Seventies until the movie.”
ON WHETHER RUMORS ABOUT HIS SEXUALITY HAVE AFFECTED HIM AND HIS CAREER…“No and no. What affects your career is the quality of the product. I don’t think anyone can hurt me.”
ON FLYING HIMSELF DAILY TO CLASSES AT THE SCIENTOLOGY CENTER IN CLEARWATER WHEN IN FLORIDA…“I am on a program that I have designed to help me in whatever area I want to be helped in. Like tonight, I was here for three hours doing a certain thing, and I will do that tomorrow night as well. It gives me a nice reason to fly… [Scientology] has given me stability. It has given me the tools to handle life’s issues, stresses and problems.”

UK Newspaper, The Sun, has come out with it’s Celebrity list of the Top 10 Legs
Number One is: Nadine Coyle (born June 15, 1985, Derry, Northern Ireland and a singer with the all-girl group Girls Aloud)
The list has a UK bias, so stateside visitors may not recognise some of the names, but still, it is a Nice list. However, as with all lists, it is just as easy to think of 10 more celebs that should have been featured there, but are not.
Let us have your suggestions in the comments please
In response to the emails we have received today about VIPGLAMOUR perhaps doing an interview with Paul Potts or people asking where they may find an online interview of Paul, I am afraid that I have to say we are just a “Lowly Celebrity Blog” and the chances of us pulling of an interview are almost NIL.
(For the record Paul, we completely understand, go on, enjoy your fame and Good Fortune, you do deserve it)
As you can imagine, Paul Potts is inundated with TV and Press interviews this week.
Searching online I have found a couple of good articles and interviews that give a bit more background to Paul and his life.
And another more comprehensive Paul Potts interview from last week is found at the Guardian Unlimited
In particular I was impressed with Paul’s response to people who suggested he may have already been a Professional Opera Singer:
Speaking to this interview, the singer denied the allegations.
‘I have never worked as a professional singer. I have poured everything I could earn into a few lessons, but everyone taking part in this television show has had some training,’ he said yesterday.
‘My four performances with Bath Opera a few years back were all amateur. I am angry about this because I have never earned anything, although I did get petrol expenses a couple of times.’ His story is confirmed this weekend by the singing teacher who gave him lessons until Potts was forced to give up in 2003 because of illness. Potts adds that he has always been open about a trip to Italy to improve his voice. He had saved up to sing for Luciano Pavarotti in a masterclass, but had no tuition from the great tenor.
Another remarkable thing is that I heard Paul Potts say in an interview on Britain’s Got Talent was that he was not even sure he wanted to enter Britain’s Got Talent - as he had more or less gave up on his music career. Now that is Scary - because Paul has the most amazing talent and ability to connect with the general public with his singing and I can only think how much poorer the lives on many people would be today if Paul had not “PAID ATTENTION” to his inner voice and entered.
Although he claims that he will never again wear his Tesco suit - which ensured that all three judges, Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden, described his image as ‘appalling’ - Potts, insists that he will not be having a ‘Hollywood makeover’.
“I vividly remember that doing that first audition in my cheap £35 Tesco suit and seeing Simon Cowell sitting there in his Armani,” he added.
“I don’t think I’ll ever wear it again but it will always be a reminder of where I was and where I attempt to remain - except in better clothes.
“I’m wearing a Burton suit today and I expect to continue buying Burton. I’m not hung up on labels, or being seen in the right shops and the right clubs
Special Note: Paul, if you do happen to read this and are available for an interview please email us at admin@vipglamour.net
20th June Update: Just found this excellent article at MSNBC TV
Titled: Find Your Inner Paul Potts
A real inspirational read. I did not for example know that “But my secret is hidden within me, my name no one shall know.” are the words, roughly translated, from the famous Puccini aria “Nessun Dorma.” How appropriate for the Paul Potts Story.
Tony Maciulis (who wrote the article) also makes the excellent point that:
We all have a passion, a secret buried within us. And yes, for the most part, the world will never know our names. But that doesn’t mean we haven’t made an impact, changed lives for the better, or had a purpose on this planet.
Find your inner Paul Potts. Everyone has one.
And here, just because we at VIPGlamour don’t believe you can have too much of a good thing is another Video of the winning performanace:
Below is the video of Paul singing in in the finals of Britain’s Got Talent, once again singing Nessun Dorma from Turandot.
Without doubt we have a New Opera Celebrity - all of Britain is so very proud of you Paul
As the winner he will receive a £100,000 prize cheque, as well as the opportunity to sing at the Royal Variety Performance, by invitation of her Majesty the Queen.
After winning the nation’s and the world’s heart with Somewhere Over The Rainbow, Connie Talbot, aged 6 years old, does it again.
Connie Talbot received the most public votes in June 16 Semi Final of Britain’s Got Talent, for her gap-toothed chorus of Ben, by Michael Jackson. This performance has already shortened her odds for a Christmas chart top spot!
Very Well Done Conny - the best 6 year old singer in the world - as Piers Morgan pointed out.
So now we have a dream final TODAY, Sunday June 17, with Connie Talbot and Paul Potts.
Victoria Beckham launched her own denim line yesterday called dVb.
Why would somebody want to look like her?She looks like one of the X-Men.If you really look closely, you would see she resembles David Beckham too!
I agree shes skinny, so is a stick with scotch tape for hair.
She should’ve had a tagline.Something like dVb-GO MUTANT!” alt=”" />
